Changes to BGSUFalcons.com

Post by PGY Tiercel »

Just checked the website today and noticed that they have redone their design. A big improvement in my opinion.

Wow. That's very recent, unless the stories still open to the old style page... the Bowers story opened in the old style just 45 minutes ago.

Oh, and the RSS feed is a VERY welcome addition. Still some bugs to the design, I see, but i do like it better... congrats to those responsible, and thank you!

Very nice and needed change to the site. Looks like the ESPN.com template. It's cool that they got the gameday guys in there.

Funny enough, I was just thinking the other day how it was time we needed a redesign of the website. It was looking outdated and old. I really like the new look a lot.....well done.

nice... for those running at a minimum of 1024x768... i'm at work right now and the computer is set to 800x600. for those working in a lower resolution environment, they're screwed. lol

What the f##k do you mean by that, 87? That emoticon is a little ambiguous....which is why I generally hate them. That and so many of them are oh so cutesy....like that Ashlee Simpson or car dealership commercials that pretend to have kids speaking for their parents. Man, that crap just bugs me to no end....

Not sure what you're getting at, but I assume your criticizing my criticism? I know that all good web developers should design their site to be viewable on all usable resolutions, but I hate dealing with older resolutions. Swear to god at my last job there were still people who wanted to do all their work in 640x480. You could NOT convince them that anything that made things smaller was actually good.

They'd call me over and say their computer was screwed up when it was switched by somebody else to 800x600 (which is still too big on most monitors). I'd switch it to 1024, like it should be, and they'd complain that I broke it worse...ugh.

800x600, I'll bend on... begrudgingly.

640x480? No way, Jose.

Even worse is with the advent of toolbars, some 800x600 monitors are even smaller than the smallness that they already are... blech.

I had been wondering about the "Style" of the BG Web site. The new one definitely is a great improvement. It definitely has an updated look and feel. Great job!

And with that response, to which bell tower should I send the fifth and Jack and ammo, Flip? :smt067
