Gee, that might have something to do with their level of talent and Paluch's desire to produce a decent hockey team. Ever think of that?

You really think so? Ever see "flashes of greatness" out of them followed by weeks of mediocrity? I really don't want to bad mouth them, but I call things as I see them. There has been so much talent the past few years that hasn't shown. Many guys have come into BG with great expectations and produced nothing. Why? Is it because they didn't have the talent? Or because the team didn't have the depth to push them to perform 60 minutes a game, every game?

The past few years BG has had small teams (numbers wise). Very few guys have been watching the games from the stands. With the amount of players coming in next season, and the talent that will be available, the players will not have the option of taking shifts off during games like they have the past few years. They will know that there is an equally capable player sitting in the stands just waiting to take their spot in the lineup.

The large recruiting class will cause guys to be released before the season even starts. Fogarty is an excellent used cars salesmen, but unfortunately that will ruin careers for several players. A large recruiting class may sound good to all of you, but there is a limit on the size of a roster.

Agreed. I missed that statement earlier. For that I apologize. It's not a fair statement to make of the individuals on the ice.

Quotation marks and an attached signature note would indicate that the writer has first hand knowledge of the quoted person using those exact words. I doubt if Fogarty ever made this exact statement. *edited for content by RUIT*

Coach says: Bring that level of play we saw from you at _________(insert junior team here) to BG and you'll get time on the PP.

Player hears: He promised I'd start on the point.

Player reports to camp overweight, goes through the motions in practice, cuts class, breaks training and curfew. Badmouths coaches and teammates behind their backs, and is generally a hemoroid. This player rides the pine, and places the blame everywhere except where it belongs.

Large Recruiting Class

Post by tnelly7 »

You actually think that this large recruiting class will put pressure on the returning guys for ice time. Please! That's what the coaches want to do, make it a competition, instead of getting the most out of each and every player they have. What a coaching strategy! Seems like it has worked for the past four years. Keep up with the strategy that keeps us in last f**king place!

Plus, this large recruiting class does not have to much talent. They are the low end of the USHL, BCHL, or whatever league they have came from. BG does not get the top studs out there, we haven't been good enough to recruit the best players! Paluch and his boys might want to reconsider their techiques and coaching style, due to the fact IT'S NOT F**KING WORKING!!!!

If you want us to take you seriously, you need to work on your presentation style.

The final sentence in each paragraph NEGATES your being considered credible. There are ways to get a point across. Unfortunately, your point is not getting across to individuals. Your senseless use of expletives results in people dismissing you.

That is a typical fogarty statement. players have zero respect for him because that is exactly what he does. one day a player is going to give him a real nice beating. which he definately deserves. pauluch deserves one too because he runs fogarty so whatever comes out of fogarty's moutrh usually gets generated from pauluch's. you just do not breed championship teams with lies and betrayals. you build them with skill, knowledge, honesty, and respect from your players. These are things that pooch and fog's just do not have. lets get some real coaches in here and win a championship!

According to Heisenberg:
NAHL:
Kantola ranked 3rd
Patruska ranked 14th

USHL:
McIlrath ranked 7th
Perkin ranked 19th

Maxwell, the transfer from Maine, was also highly recruited 2 years ago.

These are the highest ranked ones....many of the others (not all) are also ranked in the upper half of their respective leagues.

Many teams would love to have 4 recruits ranked in the upper 20 of a league. Most (outside of UM et. al.) only land 1 or 2 if they're lucky.

Try again....

(Oh and did you notice the correct use of the contraction of "they" and "are" into they're? Tricky, huh?)

Wow!!! Are you sure you guys wanna lay the uberpessamistic lable on me. I may have stated my dismay at the fact the falcon hockey hasn't done squat in who knows how many years but who starts a thread on Coach Paluchs replacements , no not me somebody named ShaneFalcon. Whew , you guys gotta me some credit here , not even I have ventured into this kind of unbridled pessamism. Oh and tnelly7, you could be right on what you say, but goodness take a zaynex allready.

But on the other hand if next years team where to get nowhere again, would some of you hockey experts be taking off the bright orange glasses for even a sec? I haven't given up on Paluch yet , but time is a wastin'.

I think Doug MacLean, GM of the Blue Jackets should be the next coach. After all he took the Florida Panthers to the Stanley Cup finals in only the Panthers third year of existance.

If not him, the Markel. He might be looking to get out of OSU in the next year or so. With a new AD who has been chopping heads, he might want a change of scenery. Especially and AD that has sent two high profile coaches in wrestling and track and field packing to retirement in the last three months. Plus he is a BG grad and a member of the BG Athletic Hall of Fame.

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. We all know that Casey Jones (Markel's assistant) does all the coaching at OSU and Markel is just there for a pretty face behind the bench.
