Recruiting Class for Next Year
Another website was asking who people thought their team would get in the recruiting battle for next year's prospects. Since I enjoy doing that kind of stuff, I scoured a couple of websites and came up with a heavy load of Ohio talent. I am huge on keeping Ohio talent in state, although I know it is tough. Here is what I thought BG might pick up...what do the rest of you think?
Bowling Green is hard to project. There are always those kids that get offered and no one knows about them because they aren't big time players and the coaches don't want others to know about them and the fact that they could develop into a great player. Bowling Green loses a lot of seniors this upcoming year, so here is my guess (or hope for some) for Bowling Green (25 recruits listed).
QB - Lukas George 6'4/215/4.62 (Warren Harding)
QB - Zach Graham 6'5/215/4.65 (Suwanee, GA)
QB - Najee Goode 6'0/225/4.85 (Benedictine)
RB - Jaa'Rome Williams 5'10/210/4.65 (Elyria)
WR - Charles Brown 5'11/190/4.56 (Maple Heights)
WR - Raymond Hutson 6'2/175/4.4 (Detroit, MI)
WR - Trey Hunter 6'0/180/4.6 (Eastwood)
TE - Kevin Conachan 6'4/230/4.8 (Benedictine)
OL - Mike Madsen 6'3/275 (Cardinal Mooney)
OL - Kevin Koncelik 6'4/280/5.32 (St. Ignatius)
OL - Adam Kattoua 6'0/270/5.2 (Upper Arlington)
DL - Eric Thomas 6'4/250/4.8 (Benedictine)
DL - Rob Trigg 6'2/235/4.7 (Dayton Chaminade-Julienne)
DL - Carson Byrd 6'0/230/4.81 (Trotwood-Madison)
DL - Fred Hale 6'3/230/4.8 (Mentor)
DL - John Hughes 6'2/260/4.88 (Gahanna Lincoln)
LB - Erique Robertson 6'0/215/4.55 (Maple Heights)
LB - Darren Branch 6'1/232/4.6 (Twinsburg)
LB - Clay Beeler 6'0/225/4.7 (Huntington)
LB - Bobby LaRosa 5'11/230/4.82 (Avon)
DB - Sean Fobbs 6'1/200/4.5 (Miamisburg)
DB - Dusty Brown 6'0/180/4.6 (Elmwood)
DB - Bryant Fox 6'0/185/4.65 (Piqua)
Ath - J.T. Zdanek 6'0/195/4.61 (Midlothian, VA)
Ath - Jay Edwards 6'0/200/4.59 (Nelsonville-York)
I know this may not be very accurate as BG traditionally recruits Illinois and Florida and neither states are well represented, but these are names that I figured I would float around for the fun of it.

Falconfreak90 - You're right, I thought we had more seniors than that. When I quickly glanced at the roster, I saw a lot of SR's...but looking back, they have junior eligibility. We may not have 25 scholarships to offer, but to get 15-20 solid recruits would be great.

Those darn redshirts! LOL! Of those 12, 6 are starters. I think you're right on....there will be plenty of talent and we need to score 15-20 solid recruits cuz we won't have a whole lot of schollies to give. The coaches will really need to do their homework for this next class.

Terrell White and Devon Parks should be the hardest to replace. The others are very good players but not in that class. WE should be very good if we can get some good seasoning this year.

Just looking over the scout.com site, BG has apparently offered a couple more QB's.
Nate Brown from Harrisburg, PA who is a 3-star and none of his other favorites have offered according to the site. He is 6'5" 225 and runs a 4.69 40, he sounds like he could be another QB in the mold of Harris and Jacobs.
Also, a QB by the name of Matt Rodgers from Pittsburgh, PA reports an offer from BG. He is 6'3" 180, reports a 4.7 40, and is listed as a 2-star.

For what it's worth, both Rivals (also a 5.0 RR) and Scout have him as a two star prospect.UK Peregrine wrote:Well, here's one hit I found from duckunder53's list.duckunder53 wrote: WR - Raymond Hutson 6'2/175/4.4 (Detroit, MI)

This is a good get. He has good size (6'-2"...he'll fill out from 175 when coach Hillman gets a hold of him) great speed (4.4 per Rivals and Scout.com) he's from Deetroit...we need to have a strong presence in Michigan as the senior class looks improved over last year and he's pulling a 3.96 GPA with a 23 ACT so he should already be qualified academically.
He's from a Class D school, (smallest class of schools here in Michigan) so he's probably under the big schools radars. Hopefully, he'll stay there through signing day

Definitely a great get! With our offense I really worry about our WR corps this year. We've been blessed with some talented WRs in the past, but we're devoid of experience this year. Between that and Parks returning from injury and losing whatshisface to academic issues we're thinner than we've been at WR in a LOOOONNNNGGG time. Even Blackney's teams had good WR depth.
