I'll admit it, I know sweet FA about Cleveland, that said my stomach would've turned at the prospect of having Downtown totally over-run by Wisconsin fans.

A late start means I can drink reasonably well on Friday, and get sorted out on Saturday afternoon.

I can't wait. I will admit that I was skeptical of this idea---but it could be a really special day.

I know everyone in the FMB will be breathing a huge sigh of relief. Late start means not having three shows in 24 hrs like at OSU a few years ago. I might even be able to stay at home that night and enjoy the local night life!
Yeah right girl!

this is bullsh*t... Why the (expletive) are they going to tell us the start time is going to be 1 and then change it a few months later? Do they not realize that once you release the start time of it, thousands of people make plans around that? Now I can't go. I'm not very happy with the new AD right now...

1: Many schools change start dates for games. I have seen UK change a start date 2 weeks before the game. Its nothing new, and I'm sure many people thought that a time change might happen.

B) The new AD, starts July 24th. Doubt he had anything to do with it.

It's just one of those things where you can't please everybody. Some people will get ticked (BGSUVA) and some, like myself, will love the change. Let's all hope for a full stadium! Buy extra tickets and invite other along, that's on my agenda!

I heard they were planning on changing the Homecoming game to a Sunday evening contest

And it will be played under Canadian Football rules, eh?

The game will be televised, via ESPN regional and Game Plan pay per view, one of the reasons for the move.

Oh, Yeah, I guess BGSUVA can go on hating Greg Christopher over the move as well, he seems to have played a role in it.

I know in the Columbus area WBNS (CBS) carries the ESPN+ (Regional). I doubt they'd carry this game.

WBNS always carries an ESPN-Plus Big Ten game at noon.

That may cease when the Big Ten does to it's own cable channel. Off-hand, I don't remember if that will start in time for this season.

I personally think whenever the Big Ten stops offering ESPN-plus games, that could create the potential for a MAC game of the week for stations that (like WBNS) will suddenly have a gap in their programming. I'm sure 10 loves having a Big Ten game as a lead in to CBS' SEC games right now. Can the MAC live up to what the Big Ten is doing? Can it come close?

Thing is, 7 p.m. is a different window. It might be more competitive. WBNS airs Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and then goes to network programming. That's a decent line up.

On the other hand, if BGSU (which holds the rights) is moving the time, they obviously sense that some stations are going to pick up the game. Certainly stations in Madison, Milwaukee and Toledo ought to pick up the game, and one would think it would be a reasonable thing for a Cleveland station to consider it.

And any station with network football starting at 3:30 p.m. might like to do a double header with our game at the backend.

And there are other options. In Columbus, I'm not sure if WTTE (Fox 28) has network programming on Saturday nights, and a 7 p.m. game would lead nicely into their 10 p.m. newscast.

WWHO (UPN 53) seems to be in roughly the same boat (except that they have a 9 p.m. newscast).

It would be nice to get the game into even more markets, but I don't see any other obvious ones in Ohio. Dayton, but only maybe (and it doesn't help that AT is suspended).

WBNS is going to cover the game so that fckeye fans can watch the team that is going to shock the world, and end national title hopes come October.
