I was curious myself. That's all. Latest rumor on the draft boards has both Mayo and Walker, despite the rumored Andy Katz reported commitment to USC, taking the NBA to court to challenge the legallity of the age limit.
BTW, Mayo shot down Katz' report to Rivals.com.

Given Maurice Clarett's lack of success in getting the NFL's almost identical rule struck down via the court's, I don't know how much of a chance Walker and Mayo would stand against the NBA.
They should go to school for a year. Look at the track record of guys who skip college completely. Daryl Dawkins, Moses Malone, Kobe Bryant and Lebron. Of all the guys who tried it, I can think of four guys who weren't hurt by skipping college ball. If Magic and Mike could stomach two years of college, I think OJ Mayo can handle just one.....

Kevin Garnett, Jermaine O'Neal, Shaun Livingston, Kwame Brown, Al Harrington (to an extent), eventually Gerald Green and Jackie Butler are among others who've had varying degrees of success this year and in the past as well, but your point of not many people being able to make it is very good and well taken.
However most of those guys had to take a few years to develop into the players they now are.
