Middle Tennessee State is D-1A in the Sun Belt Conference, FWIW...
LOL...you're right! I just threw a direction, a state, and put the word state at the end figuring I'd get a 1AA school...my bad.

Doing that, you could have ended up with the MAC West champ.

Nothing more needs to be said. We totally agree.
I love that statement hammb. That's what I want for BGSU. As far as 1-AA games? If we can avoid them, great. If we absolutely had to schedule one (like EKU in 2003 when those pu**ies from USF decided not to honor the contract), so be it. I'd rather play 1-A teams at all times these days. There are 119 teams in 1-A. I'm sure AD Christopher will do all he can to sked 1-A teams home and away in the future.

Very, very well said hammb! I have always felt this way about BG, especially because I started to seriously follow Falcon Football under the Meyer administration. If I might add to what you said...

I want Bowling Green to be a Fresno State type of football team. I want Bowling Green football to represent the hard-work ethic of Northwest Ohio the same what FSU represents the Valley. We have the tools, we have the talent, and very, very soon, we will also have the facilities.

We already have the reputation amongst skill position recruits nationally.

I don't want BG to resemble Fresno at all...I hope we stay away from those kind of players personally...

That's a good point. FSU may win a lot of games and do well on a yearly basis but they don't have a strong academic ethic....or playing by NCAA rules.

I like their attitude of playing anyone, anywhere, anytime, though. BGSU is pretty much in that boat these days.

Noboday has really mentioned it (but I'm sure some have thought about it), but how about the lower tier SEC schools? I love the Big 10 and I love to see BG play those teams, but I hate the SEC and I would love to see BG take it to those schools even more. How about bringing Kentucky or Vanderbilt to the Doyt? Or why don't we go down to Arkansas and kick the crap out of the Razorbacks? Just some ideas...man how I would love to be the AD and schedule games (so it's a hassle, but it sure is fun to put that stuff together...I do it on a lower scale, and I LOVE IT!!).

Where did Arizona State go? I have them on a printed schedule from BGSU for 2007 or 2008.

DrDesert,

I believe that game was done away with. I was planning on making that game part of a family vacation to visit the Grand Canyon and all that stuff but I don't think it will happen. It was supposed to be on next year's schedule.
