BG Football featured on Ch. 3 in Cleveland
My dad just told me that during the sports segment on the Ch. 3 evening news (here in Cleveland), they had a feature on the BG-Wisky game and interviewed at least one player. My dad wasn't sure who one of them was, but he says that his last name started with an "M" and that Ramona Robinson said that he is the assistant pastor at her church. That is a new one to me.
Anyhoo, just wondering if anyone knows who that was (PJ Mahone, maybe?). I'll see if they replay it tonight at 11:00.

Unfortunately I am a self-proclaimed moron. Perhaps '33 has that capability if he sees this tonight?
Lo siento.

...and then tell the rest of us how to make the Tivo to YouTube conversion, right?jacojdm wrote:I've got the wkyc on right now, so the Tivo is recording the newscast. If the piece plays again, I'll put it on the Youtube.

I knew that there were people around here that are smarter than I.
Oh well. At least I've still got TG beat!

Ooh, I don't know. I can't imagine it's that hard. I have the Tivo on my home network, so I can move the video to any of the PCs on my network. (It's an authentic Tivo, not a cable box DVR that I refer to as a Tivo). I know that I can burn stuff to DVDs, although I haven't yet done that. I'll work on it.TG1996 wrote:...and then tell the rest of us how to make the Tivo to YouTube conversion, right?jacojdm wrote:I've got the wkyc on right now, so the Tivo is recording the newscast. Now I'm scared that I'll screw it up.
It was a short piece. Dan Macon spoke. They showed lowlights from the UT game. Romona Robinson is singing Dan's praises.
I want to go to bed, so I'll try the Youtube thing in the morning.

So it was Dan Macon. I had no idea he was a pastor. No wonder he's so fast! And Ramona loves him!
Mad props to both the AD and WKYC for giving the BG-Wisky game some love! Not even the most deeply entrenched pesimists among us can deny that the AD is doing a great job of getting the word out!
What is it now, Freak? 39 days?

You keep making yourself believe that, okay?Bleeding Orange wrote:Oh well. At least I've still got TG beat!![]()
All I know about the Tivo thing is it comes off as alot more, um, "not easy" than it advertises. But I'll gladly let you be the guinea pig and report back to me.
Oh yeah, here's what the university had to say about the day.. http://bgsufalcons.cstv.com/sports/m-fo ... 06aab.html

If the team actually shows up and plays with heart, guts, and passion we'll be okay. If they combine that with fundamentals, I'll be thrilled...regardless of the W/L record.Schadenfreude wrote:That sounds like coachspeak for "it may be a long year, folks."Warthog wrote:Brandon: "We're gonna play with a lot of heart, guts and passion,.."
I hope I'm wrong.

Tackling was our biggest fundamental weakness last year. I noted some improvement in that area during the spring game and I hope it continues into this season.
With so much youth on the team, we really need Gregg Brandon and the staff to step it up as coaches. This is their blank canvas...are we gonna get something closer to a Monet or a velvet Elvis?
