"I made them run until they puked."

Surprised I didn't see this posted, from today's Plain Dealer:

Bowling Green football coach Gregg Brandon took one look at the Facebook.com Internet photos of his scantily clad players having a little too much fun in a hot tub and knew what to do next.

Sprints.

"I made them run until they puked," he said.

I did see it. I didn't post it for fear it was already posted elsewhere. :-D

Anyway, it doesn't pay to be a knucklehead.

I think I have seen it...or I've seen some that coach hasn't seen, but I hope for the players that we saw the same ones

Nice move, Coach! I hope he uses this tactic liberally. Of all the things I hated as an athlete, it was running wind sprints for disciplinary reasons. Certainly made you think twice.

Nothing like risking a player with heat stroke by making them run until they puke.

Hold the offenders out of the sprints and make the rest of the team run them. Then you know that the message was heard LOUD AND CLEAR

I'm just saying that there has to be a better way of getting to them than running sprints until they puke. Personally, I'd rather run sprints all day than running an extended distance (slowly).

Get these kids out of bed 2 hours earlier than they would, normally for practice. Make them set up the whole practice facility (equipment, etc..). The next day, the same thing, but 2 1/2 hours earlier.

My point, running them isn't always the best method (physically and mentally).

I am a big fan of Facebook and am "friends" with almost every single player on the BG team. I'm not surprised that pictures were found cause I have seen lots of our best players doing stuff that they shouldnt be doing especially in a picture that is going to be posted on the internet. Glad to see that some got busted and that it wont ruin our season. Last season Purdue's softball team lost like 11 players for the entire season because of things being caught in pictures on facebook. Hope nothing of this severity happens to BG!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!
