because i know you all have been counting the seconds to hear about the latest on Trev Alberts, this just in:
he's been hired by the Mountain West Conference to be their lead play-by-play man on the MWC's new television network, the Mountain.
ironically, in a nearly simultaneous announcement, DirecTV has announced that they will not be adding the Mountain network to their lineup anytime soon:
When he got fired, I believe he commented that his future endeavors would not include being a TV/radio sports commentator/analyst again. I guess other professions decided they didn't want to deal with that jackass, so he had to come back to the college football telecast world with his tail between his legs and accept a "lesser" position.
Why even bother with him anymore? I mean, there's no way that a journalist with any talent would be broadcasting for mid-majors. If he was a good broadcaster, surely some bigger school from the B11 or SEC would have plucked him up.
Hopefully he won't run into any debates with any broadcasters for major schools. He would surely get crushed.

Thanks, Freak. I'm waffling a bit on the Buffalo game; it's the weekend of Noah's first tackle football game and I'm not sure if I want him to miss that. Mrs. 87 has given a tentative OK for him to miss two days of school for the Miami game so we might be making a mid-week trip!
