Funny... because I just heard that GB was at Brathaus about a week ago drinking quite heavily with some fans.

Given what happened with Aaron Richardson a couple of years ago, I don't think they're going to do anything that endangers anyone's health.

Exactly. And the heat could have been a complete non-factor if they used the Fieldhouse.

Making the kids get out of bed two hours earlier than expected, and making them set up the practice field isn't going to do a dang thing as far as making them think twice about about their actions. The only way that they are going to think twice is by making them run, and run alot. Almost every kid will tell you that one of the worst parts of practice is running, especially sprint workouts. Yes, it is part of the game, but it's not part of the game that kids love. They didn't get into football for the running, they got into it for the hitting, throwing, and playmaking. Line a kid up at the baseline and listen to the groans as a kid misses a freethrow to make them run a sprint. Now, throw running in as a punishment, and it gets worse. Maybe the kids will do those things that got them in trouble again, but they won't be putting pictures on the internet.

And as far as Coach Brandon being seen out at a bar and having drinks, he is well above the age of 21, and he is not taking pictures and putting them on the internet for everyone to see. I'm sure that the real reason he made the kids run was because the pictures were on the internet, and all of the problems that have been going on in college athletics with facebook pictures, and some myspace. I commend Coach for doing something about the situation, and I think that it was the right decision.

Jeez...are some of you getting soft or what. I'd be surprised if any team including Temple wasn't practicing this hard.

C'mon let's all think back to yesteryear when we were at 2 a days....close your eyes....what do you see....yeah it was %&$## hot wasn't it...and some of the guys were losin' it weren't they...and they gave your fat boy lineman friend salt tablets didn't they.

It's summer, it's practice...it's supposed to be misearable...that's what seperates these 80-90 guys from all the buzzed hackey-sack playin guys out on 6th street.

People here can't honestly believe that our players aren't drinking, and possibly smoking while in college. As long as they aren't out f'ing around on thursday or friday night it's still possible to compete at a high level.

Brandon helps avert a potential PR disaster, he made them run, we've all been there, time to move on.

Hated those freakin things with a passion. It was just as hot then as it is now, no doubt.

Whenever I hear of an example like this, it reminds me of that scene in the movie Full Metal Jacket. It’ll certainly get your teammates to be concerned about your actions, that’s for sure.

In the Army we used to say "Thank you buddy" as were pushing Fort Benning into Florida and then there would usually be some little party in the wee hours of the morning. Many times it involved a sock and a number of bars of soap in said sock. The fire guard would never hear a damn thing though. It worked (except for one PFC Meyers - an officers kid, the little punk).

The baseball coach at the college I worked at in North Carolina would run the team at 6 AM if a player missed class. The player that missed class would not have to run, he got to sleep in that day as the rest of the team was out there. All it took was one player to miss and the rest of the team never missed a class.

When I was in the Army basic training at Ft. Dix, I would never take part in any "party" since usually the guys who led them were sadistic jackasses looking for any reason to hurt someone.

Furthermore, when given the choice between sleep, precious sleep, and committing anonymous assault, I chose sleep. I also let it be known I wouldn't appreciate it if I was awakened by anyone wailing on any of my 7 roommates. A guy in another company tried to kill himself by jumping from the 4th floor after one of these cutie-pie "I've been in the Army 32 days now so I have the right to beat the crap out whoever I want to" parties.

Back to the Falcons. It amazes me how many people think they can put whatever they want on the internet and no one in authority will see it. Don't they get the WORLDWIDE part of worldwide web?
