NIU on Probation

I saw this in the PD today:

Huskies on probation: Northern Illinois University was ordered to serve one year on probation after the NCAA determined a faculty member had improperly bought a plane ticket, paid a phone bill and paid other expenses for a women's basketball player in 2003 and 2004.

I had no idea that they were even under investigation. No word on what the actual sanctions are, but this can't be very good for the lady puppies.

Sounds likea faculty member took a little vacation with a lady Huskie....hope everyone got their shots.
