cbjhack, I think you are missing the fact that "Bob The Builder" is likely an alias of a regular poster. This is quite common on another board I post at and it usually is pretty funny when the alter egos post, such as Bob the Builder has done here. This one is especially funny since Mr. Sebo's name is Bob.

This is almost comical and unbelievable at the same time. What the heck is going on up there and who in the world is in charge of this construction project and the crews? I mean, how in the world can they build a couple walls and an elevator structure without using the materials needed for the project? Talk about a waste of time and money. And BG had better not be paying for these mistakes (I assume it is not and that the company is). I remember there was talk about cutting back on materials for the project because of expenses exceeding the amount raised for the project, but this isn’t what we had in mind (there’s sarcasm in there). Watching this crew build without the needed materials is concerning. How’d you like to be the first one to enter this facility when it’s done. You might have to wear a hardhat at all times. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled to see the facility taking form and all, but at the rate of the unsatisfactory construction going on, they’ll be taking down the steel girders next. Come on guys, wake up.factman wrote:I heard today that the elevator shat is also coming down and being replaced, due to no rebar in it. I don't know how factual this is, but it came from someone in the construction business.
GO BG!!!

Hold on there Tex...You need to dial it down a bit...it was a J-O-K-E joke.cbjhack wrote:What kind of stupid remark is this?Bob the Builder wrote:Screw you! The only error made was when you were born!
USGFreddie has more knowledge of this project than you will ever have. His family has given a significant amount to this project (and numerous others on campus) and has a little more inside info. I trust his knowledge more than I do yours or anyone else, sans the architect who posted his comments, on this topic.
If you don't trust USGFreddie, then get off your lazy ass and call someone at the university to find out. Its stupid uninformed comments like yours that often make this site, and many others, a joke.
Additionally, may I just say you all are acting like a bunch of nattering nabobs of negativity! Not to mention a bunch of old ladies...It'll get done when it gets done.
Can't you all go back to your old arguments like how we need more brown or what color jerseys the team should wear, or which falcon logo is better, or how the new logo is a rip-off of Miami's logo, or how there is a deep dark conspiracy to secretly have media falcon become the the official logo, or that Prez Sid Rib is sitting in dark corners of his office plotting to heinously change the school colors to orange and *DUN* *DUN* DUUUUNNNN* BLACK! I heard all of these conspiracies are being woven into Oliver Stone's next movie "Dark Heart of the Falcon."

SEBO CENTER UPDATE
From bgsufalcons.comSEBO CENTER UPDATE
Testing and inspection to ensure that construction is being done in accord with building design specifications is important to the success of all building projects, including the Sebo Center project. During the testing/inspection process, engineers uncovered an issue with the masonry construction that will require the masonry along the north, south and west walls of the building to be redone as well as the elevator/stairwell tower. The general contractor has taken appropriate steps to address the problem and all masonry will be replaced immediately. The work is expected to take approximately two to four weeks.
The building remains scheduled for completion in spring of 2007.
