This may have been discussed long ago. So forgive me for bringing it back up. Just educate the uninformed please.
I was looking at the helmet project today and was wondering if the historical BGSU helmets were correct.

Go to the MAC Eastern Division and scroll down to the historical section. Some of these are really off the wall and I wondered if they were for real.

From everything that I have heard around here these are pretty accurate. There are actually pictures of the "spray-painted" helmets floating around somewhere (TG might have them).
That being said, I am still a staunch advocate of bringing back the "Angry Chicken:"

I think it was in the photo the guy from WMU posted here, and '87 used to have in his sig that showed the spray painted helmets of the early '60s...

My favorite is the one from the 1980 season. They are all pretty sweet though and I love the website in general! I wish they would make a one that does the exact same thing except with jerseys!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

I have started to chronicle the uniforms based on some media guides I had laying around. If I get serious with it I will put a bunch of them online for people to view.BGSUFootballFan wrote:My favorite is the one from the 1980 season. And macman, I may just be wearing my leather helmet on 9/9. That thing was a fun investment.
