Don't know if this is good or bad, but... Apparently earlier in the show, Woody Paige said something about Jay Crawford being an Ohio State alum. All I caught was the end, where Crawford did correct him and said he graduated from Bowling Green, but is an Ohio State fan. At least he corrected him about what school he went to.

Crawford's the reason why I hate all the BG students who leave the Doyt at halftime to go watch the Buckeyes. My philosophy has always been that you support the school you attend, since you're forking up $15,000 to them. I always tell them if they want to be an OSU fan then go to OSU.
But yeah...Crawford's a big time tool. Thankfully that show is getting horrible ratings and will hopefully be yanked, and Skip Bayless will be out of a job.

The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
maybe not everybody wants to go to OSU. I did not go to OSU because I wanted smaller class sizes. I am a better learner in small class settings. I did not feel that I was going to get those settings at OSU. I did not pay BG 15,000 to watch footballjpfalcon09 wrote:Crawford's the reason why I hate all the BG students who leave the Doyt at halftime to go watch the Buckeyes. i paid them to educate me.
so, other people like me, and there are many of them at BG, will skip BG games or leave at half time to watch OSU.
however, you may be suprised to hear that I did not leave early or skip BG games to watch OSU. Even the Miracle TD at Purdue i missed because I was at the BG game in 2002.
But my #1 in NCAA is OSU. I didnt go to BG for football. I went for education. Just remember what the priorities are.

You know, I don't like a lot of the stuff that Tek says on here, and it really disturbs me that he is an OSU apologist on this board, but he is right about this one. A lot of people don't choose OSU because of its size, and they would rather prefer something a little smaller. I have to respect someone that goes to a school because it is a better school, not because you grew up loving their sports teams. People don't pay money because they want to go to football games, they pay money to go to school and get an education. OK, now I have to go and take a shower, I have agreed way too much with the OSU apologist way too much here. GO FALCONS!

Sports is my whole life, therefore I picked BG mostly because of its sports teams. They have a good football program, an awesome basketball arena, and are one of 3 schools in Ohio to have a D1 hockey team. So I wanted to go to a school that was D1, catered to students attending sporting events, and since I'm a big hockey fan- a hockey program. So it basically was narrowed down to OSU, Miami, and BG. OSU is way too big and Miami was too far from home. And here I am about to start my 3rd year and absolutely love it at BG. About 90% of the reason I came to BGSU was athletics. The other 10% was having a good sport management program and being in a nice, small college town with a cool campus. Sometimes people do choose schools based on sports.
