That's true. Perhaps the better phrase would be "lack of institutional control".

finally someone else who realizes the facts. O'Brien is a jack ass. Trust me, when the whole clarrett thing came down the NCAA investigated every minor detail and found nothing wrong. OSU as an institution has never been found guilty of wrong doing except o'brien and he was cut loose very very fast.
boosters have behaved pretty well for the most part. the one who gave Troy a little cash was banned from the university and they cut all ties with him when it was found.
They are doing what they can.
you watch to many movies about schools giving beneftis to players. It doesnt happen. Don't listen to the stereotype about college athletics. I garuntee you if the top 25 schools are cheating, then the little schools are too. 99% of the schools play fair. its the boosters that will get you in trouble. you can only do so much to educate the players whats right and wrong and to keep the boosters in control.
