Jealousy at its finest. They're in the NFL now........give it up.
Yet I find it interesting that there are more mentions and threads regarding Omar on the Rockette board than there are mentions and threads about Bruce the Rocket Rider* on this board.

But then again, it's pointless to argue perception with UT fans.

*More of a slap at the fans who put that interesting image of Bruce together.

UT produces a lot of engineers. Engineers are, by and large, spazzes, dips, dickweeds and schlubs. That greatly influences the fanbase and goes a great way towards explaining the repeated use of phallic symbols in marketing the "athletics" programs.

That's funny, but irrelevant when talking about Omar and Bruce.

Umm, using that BG education again? Just looking at the first page of the UT forum, there are 8 threads about Bruce, 1 thread comparing Bruce and Omar, and 0 (zero) threads about Omar.

So there is one thread about Omar, which is a compare of Bruce and Omar, on the Rocket board. There is one thread for sure on this board about Bruce, and one thread that has references about Bruce, and well......you're posting on it. ;-)

The interesting thing is the amount of threads on Bruce at the Rocket board and the lack of threads on Omar here.

We try to discourage eight threads on the same topic here.

I guess this doesn't count as an Omar thread...

The thread about Bruce and the original reference in this thread about Bruce are both from a Toledo fan masquerading over here. But thanks for coming on our board and telling us what's what.

Personally, I'm rooting for Bruce and all the other MAC alums to do well.

ESPN Plays of the Day

Post by FalconKing »

Omar's TD pass made ESPN's top 10 plays of the day. I wasn't paying close attention until I heard his name and looked up, but I believe the play was #7. That ball was threaded in there where only the TE could catch it and what a spectacular catch it was.

My education at BG was fantastic. I'm a little stunned you would leverage that angle, RF, but it's cool. I'm rather surprised you're over here as much as you are. It seems as though UT fans have their individual work cut out for them with their little puppy friends forcing some sort of ancient rivalry upon them. ;-)

I wish to point out that you are simply comparing the FIRST PAGE of the Rockette board. These threads date all the way back to August EIGHTH.
One page does not history make.

Let's see what happens when we go back a page, shall we?
Hey, look! Top of page two, "Omar Struggling?"

Now to be fair, I did respond to this thread before seeing the Bruce thread on this board. Two similar thread topics, but different timbre. I wonder what a Rockette fan would say if the threads were reversed.

Just saw it this morning. I think it #8, but it doesn't really matter. Bruce didn't make the top ten plays

MACMAN

Post by MACMAN »

like I said in my Bruce thread I happy for him, he looked very good and will add to our stable of Best NFL QBS, dont care what school he came from at this point, he is from the MAC!!!! and did us proud

As did OMAR!, He came out and in 5 min of clock time put nearly ( nly 5 yards short) of boyd total completions. coaches were giving boyd every chance to do well and he just fell short (boyd that is) Omar will get the lions share next week I presume, esp since boyd was very amaturish in aproach to passing by trying to force to many balls and having far to many near ints cause of it.
Omar looked real good undercenter and has all through camp. His ultra cool, and SOP pass into the endzones corner with great touch, was normal for us BGSU fans, but earned alot of respect from Pit fans, whos exposure is little, and little caring esp with BEN at the helm, any doubt about his "throwing motion" and how coaches have said its not an issue, have been some what proven to fans and this is just the confidence booster Omar needs to kick of his progame.

ral happy with how he did.

Also happy pope who was turning some heads in the loss in Chicago. Pope was producetive ran well and caught well as promised. He should get some more game time there next week and is earning his spot. Things are working out for BGSU players and MAC players overall...turning heads and geting noticed, I got to tell you I love hearing the anouncers say, things about the MAC over and over again.

Very true. We should be worrying about NIU now. BG started their slide last year and are nowhere near the talent level UT has to worry about. Thanks for reminding me. :P

Looks like NCAAbbs.com is down because I can't get to that link. I assume it is probably a thread that didn't start out with Omar talk and then some people started talking about him?

Interesting. I didn't realize MacMan was a UT fan. You do know he started the thread about Bruce......called Bruce Gradkows? Or are you talking about another Bruce thread on here that I missed?
