It appears the facebook.com idiocy epidemic has been nipped in the bud by Paul Krebs at UNM now as well. It was brought to everyone's attention that New Mexico's players were posting inappropriate pictures.

Hats off to Coach Brandon for attempting to get his athletes in line!

As a coach, I also practice what I preach. I don't do wind sprints or anything like that, I just make my athletes exercise until I'm tired. I might add, when they are being punished, I'm in the shade! Their punishement consists of any form of exercise they can do while I can see them, jumping jacks, sprinting, joggin, push ups, crunches, pull ups, etc.....

Talk about punishment. Do a boatload of those and tell me it doesn't hurt.

he should have had them run the stadium steps for time...last man wins a reward.
he goes first the next time round.

Steps are the worst punishment...well those and wall sits.

Gonna have to agree that steps suck, but I remember my least favorite part of practice was our so-called two-minute drill. Sprints, leg lifts and "mountain climbers" 'til I thought my legs would fall off. Of course, I'm sure these guys could handle that a lot better than I could. Wall-sits and leg-lifts also made me hate my life pretty quick.
That all said, I'm glad they were punished. Any of us who are hockey fans (and of course, this offseason as football fans) have seen that those "harmless" facebook incidents can turn into full-scale problems for the team.
