The posts are pretty funny actually. Its sad that Cole couldn't make it again. I'm thinking maybe Cole should go the Rober Redd route and try CFL or Arena Leage if he doesn't get picked up immediatly by some other team.

I thought Robert Redd was playing for the Atlanta Falcons?
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!
He is now, but he's gone through the Arena League and NFL Europe to get to this point.BGSUFootballFan wrote:I thought Robert Redd was playing for the Atlanta Falcons?
Good luck to Cole, and if it's in him to keep at football, I hope to see him get another shot somewhere soon, at whatever level!

Yeah I knew that, just thought it was odd for him to say that so soon. I think Magner should go to the Packers and help out my team, because right now it looks like Greg Jennings might become our best WR!

Going to the CFL might be cashing it in "too soon", although Josh played up there for a bit and still had the Giants thing lined up. Going to Europe or the Arena League is probably a pretty smart move. Cole has been through two camps now and been cut twice. Either of those leagues would provide him an opportunity to show what he's got with what I'd think was a ton less pressure as the UDFA in camp. Not that playing time in either of those leagues is a given, but going into an NFL camp knowing that every move you make is going to be graded with the deck stacked against you to begin with has to be a tough situation.BGSUFootballFan wrote:Yeah I knew that, just thought it was odd for him to say that so soon. Besides, NFLE, and even the AFL to an extent are set up any more to be a minor league for the NFL. It's still not an easy route, but it's becoming more and more common for players to make the jump between the two, it seems.

I see your point and it is probably the most logical way of thinking. However I just feel that there is a pretty big void in the NFL right now for possesion type WR's. Knowing Cole's talents I would think one of the 32 teams could find a use for him, the division I know the most about is the NFC North and I know for a fact that the Packers and Vikings are short on WR's and the Bears could use a consistent performer as well. I dont want to see him play in NFLE, because I dont watch and or care about it.

I don't think Cole has enough DUI's to make Minnesota's roster, much less the required cruise boat experience.BGSUFootballFan wrote:... I know for a fact that the Packers and Vikings are short on WR's...

Hahaha yes I agree. I hate the Vikings and I think its funny they keep having all of these off the field issuses dating back to Denny Green and Randall Moss. I also think Cole is too much of a team player to fit into the Vikes organization. Maybe if he was more of a trash talker and ball hog, they would take him.

The Falcons are pretty well set at WR, and unless I am missing something I doubt robert will make the team either.
To bad for Cole, and your all right, I would think he could catch on another team prety easy, esp one that recognizes his abilites.
I wondered what the dead was when he did not dress for the game.

I talked to his little brother and he said that Cole didnt play in their first preseason game because he either had a Hernia or a abdomin strain/groin strain and they were waiting on the MRI results. From what it sounded like he got cut because he couldnt stay healthy. He has gotten interest from some Arena teams (Destroyers) but he is still waiting on the NFL. Rhett also said that he may be coming back to BG to do some more schooling while he waits? Dunno though it didnt sound like he knew that much.
