Play with yourself. It would be slightly more rewarding than getting into endless pi$$ing contests with muzzy-minded boobs whose single goal in life is bringing out the worst attributes in others.

So....

Which is dorkier?

Gregg Brandon's visor:

Or Lee Tressel's vest:

The answer is so obvious, I'm not even going to post it.

But here's a hint: Which would one more likely see at a late 1970s First Communion party?

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I just read thru the whole thread for the first time and I have to say Buckeyeskickbuttocks is one of the most reasonable OSU fans I've ever seen. He acknowledges the Buckeyes have holes to fill and isn't guaranteeing a table run to the national...whoops, check that, BCS title. There is no such thing as an NCAA National Championship for football.

But I digress. Thanks to BKB for your views. If more OSU fans were like you, I know I would welcome discussions about college football. IMO, though, 80-90% of OSU fans are off their rocker.

What about the part where he claims i was making an experiment out of going to the buckeye board and that he would have been kicked out of our boar for what he did. Look at the whole picture. he may not be the worst,,,, that does not make him good.

This looks like a good board... I'll try to get back here from time to time.

Disclaimer: The free board on Bucknuts.com is horrendous... BuckeyePlanet was created as an escape from the lunacy that runs rampant over there, and has blossomed since then. As such, I'm sure they have covered almost every base of OSU arrogance/homerism.

I can only speak for what I've seen at BuckeyePlanet, as it is where I spend most of my time. Most posters expect a dropoff on D, but are quietly optimistic that it will be a lot better than the outsiders believe.

OSU has giant holes to fill on defense. Individually, the green replacements have the talent & potential to continue Tressel's tradition of strong D. However, it will take time for them to mature and play as a unit... which was what made last year's team so special (moreso than the individual superstars that filled that lineup).

One thing to note is last year's defense barely forced any turnovers (way less than most years at OSU). The DL pressure should be greater, and the DBs may have to be more aggressive to counter some of the mistakes they will surely make. As such, I think it's feasible that turnovers will help out this young defense.

Defensive Breakdowns:

DL: Should be better than last year... Patterson is an upgrade over Green, and the pass rush should be stronger (Richardson is looking much better, Wilson has bulked up 30 lbs, and strong pass rusher Gholston is back from injury).

LB: Dropoff, no question about it... but that doesn't mean they can't become pretty good with time. Coaches say Freeman would have played last year (possibly switching to a 3-4, or putting carp at DE). He will be a very good one. After that, there is a lot of youth. Laurinaitis has stepped up and will be the leader in the middle. At the Will position, there is a battle between Kerr (veteran) & Ross Homan (exciting freshman). Homan is still young but has the size & smarts to blossom wonderfully.

DB: If Whitner/Youboty were back... this would be a top-tier secondary. Without them we are left with a lot of youth (many of the upperclassmen DBs were lost due to attrition), although OSU is among the best at developing DBs. Jenkins is an outstanding young corner (who played a lot last year, even started a few games), he will push Hall for All-Big 10 honors. The opposite corner spot is somewhat in limbo between Smith (very steady, but not as athletic) & Washington (very green, athletic). Kurt Coleman has been impressive this off-season, and should fill in nicely as the nickel back (mostly physical safeties used in this slot at OSU, partially for the tackling and blitz potential). At safety, veteran Brandon Mitchell has seen the field often the last two years. Nick Patterson has contributed mostly on special teams, but looks to be the other safety for now. Anderson Russell is an exciting playmaker at safety with strong cover skills, but is not as consistent as the other two.
I posted about 20 messages under the name Ted GinnTD. I did not bash OSU. I disagreed with posters. I said the following.
Actually you posed as an OSU fan to try and mask your rips on OSU. You then raced over to Teddy's thread to point out how he was not a good wr, posted how overrated OSU was in a number of threads, and then started another unnecessary Trivia Question thread where you repackaged the OSU=overrated theme from all of your posts. Once people called you out on only posting negative things... you then quickly added a compliment about the MSU TD.

We get plenty of outsiders on BP, many of which discuss upcoming games, matchups, strengths/weaknesses of their team and the Buckeyes. Those who are there to discuss football and back up their statements are welcome. Posters who do nothing but talk about how overrated OSU is are treated as flamers.

i never posted in a Ted Ginn thread. Who says i am not an OSU fan. I like OSU football. I just think there are no more foolish, unreasonable fans in the world than OSU fans.

you're right, you decided to hijack a gonzo thread to talk about how Teddy wasn't even a good WR.

I see, so if I root for BG on TV occasionally, I have every right to sign up on here and only post about how crappy 'our falcons' are? You signed up on BP and posted nothing but garbage about how 'our' (read: your) buckeyes are overrated on defense, 'our' special teams are very overrated, and 'our' highest rated WR isn't even good...

I've seen plenty of reasonable outsiders on BP, and they question lots of things about OSU (especially this year with so much turnover on D). Difference is, they don't devote their entire posting history to giving a wake-up call to buckeye fans about how wildly overrated they are (and certainly don't pretend to be something they are not).

Enough of this garbage... there appear to be too many good posters to extend this conversation on this board.

My apologies to the board, I felt the need to stick up for my own, especially given the situation.

Sorry, but this is an academic institution and we have other more pressing needs than spending $100-200 million on athletic facilities.
Hey, that's all well and good.... but, like I've said before in various places (though probably not here) if you're unwilling to invest in football, don't expect to be treated to potential BCS reward.
I'll castrate myself with a powersander before I ever root for Michigan.

That's right..it's not about athletic competition, it's about money, power and the marketing value of your conference.

Some of you Buckeyes are really warped....
