Re: So whats going on?????
I flipped through the threads rather quickly but I don't seem to remember a singular post that said with out a doubt that Floyd is gone so I'll believe he's not gone till completely proven otherwise.transfer2BGSU wrote:Haven't been reading the thread have you?falconboy wrote:Is Floyd gone?

You guys got it all wrong, Floyd didnt get a dewey. Nate Miller got the DUI and Floyd just got a physical control violation, read the ticket that was posted here. Whatever the reason he left... Does anyone realize Matt Lefeld is the only player who is going to finish (hopefully) dating back to 00 Now that is absolutely amazing. Maybe its not floyd with a control problem, maybe its DD.

Simms is reported to be definitely NOT a point guard.quote]
Really, his bio would seem to indicate otherwise.
A 2006 graduate of Snider High School in Ft. Wayne, Indiana... earned four letters for the Panthers and set school records in assists and steals and was second all-time in scoring... finished fourth in the voting for Mr. Basketball in Indiana as a senior... was Summit Athletic Conference MVP and All-Indiana after averaging 21 points and five assists as a senior... helped the Panthers to a 20-9 record and a sectional championship... two-year team captain... averaged 19 points and eight assists as a junior... named All-Indiana and All-SAC... led his team to three league titles as an underclassman... contributed 17 points and four assists as a sophomore... named All-Indiana for underclassmen...chipped in seven points and six assists as a freshman... coached by his father, Ray Sims
This kid seemed to do well in the assist departent throughout HS. Has anyone seem him play in person alot that can say he'd be a horrid pg?

A few more years of this and the all-time NCAA record for tranfers/players leaving for reasons "unknown" will be ours!

Somebody that posted here knew Sims personally and said that he wasn't really a PG, more of a SG. It would appear, however, from other comments I've seen that our plans have him at PG.falconboy wrote: This kid seemed to do well in the assist departent throughout HS. The way things have gone, it's pretty easy to believe, and it's absolutely unacceptable, IMO.collegedropout wrote:Does anyone realize Matt Lefeld is the only player who is going to finish (hopefully) dating back to 00 Now that is absolutely amazing. Floyd was found guilty of violating Section 4511.194 of the Ohio Revised Code -- "Having physical control of vehicle while under influence."collegedropout wrote:You guys got it all wrong, Floyd didnt get a dewey.
That, to me, translates to DUI.

Although I really think it's in poor taste, regardless of WHAT you think of DD to suggest that he's "the one with the control problem" when the "control" in question involves driving while intoxicated.
Oh, and for the record, G, this thread just turned EXACTLY like I called it yesterday.

You mean when you said "they'll probably blame Dakich for not being able to keep his players around." Damn you for having your finger on the pulse of the Ay-ziggy-zoomba.com hoops forum dwellers!!!TG1996 wrote:Blah. Yes, but only after the general rejoicing had subsided.ZiggyZoomba wrote:You mean when you said "they'll probably blame Dakich for not being able to keep his players around." Damn you for having your finger on the pulse of the Ay-ziggy-zoomba.com hoops forum dwellers!!!

I don't want to be misinterpreted. I don't blame DD for the loss of John Floyd. Floyd obviously has had a lot of issues with the law, and did not deserve to be on this team, regardless of talent.
I blame DD for a rash of transfers over the past few years, but not because John Floyd is too stupid to know what's right & wrong.

I just meant the general tone around here. As far as I've noticed, you haven't made the correlation here at all. I just figured that inevitably someone would make that point, as ridiculous as it may be.hammb wrote:I don't want to be misinterpreted. I don't blame DD for the loss of John Floyd.
