Injuries??

Post by Badger8843 »

I know Turner is out and I also heard Corey P is out as well, is there any other starters our for BG. I know we are waiting to hear about Stocco, Cooper is out, our starting DE and then our starting FB and WR are out as well. Just wondering where BG sits at as far as injuries go?

Dyrial Briggs, one of our main pass rushing defensive ends, probably won't play as much as he will later in the year because he is recovering from a leg injury. I can't think of anyone else that will be limited or out for sure.

I asked Briggs about his foot Saturday and he said it isn't 100% but he's close. I'd look for him to get some time but not as much as we'd like. I'll tell ya this...he's JACKED about being on the opposite side from Devon...and both are ready to crash backfield parties.

I think coach also said something about Matt Emans a WR was out for us. Dont know if he would have been much of a factor, but Brandon did say he was going to be in the mix.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

Emans had surgery on a broken hand, but has been playing with a small cast on. Im guessing he wont play that much against Wisconsin though since he is still recovering.

Briggs and Parks could/should give us the type of pass rushers from our ends that we haven't see in a long while. I can't wait until Briggs is healhty, I really liked what he showed us last year.

Briggs and Parks........

Post by Falconboy »

For Parks to break any BG sack records or for him and Briggs to do well vs Wisky or any team , we need major play out of the DT's. If Parks can be double teamed without losing control of our DT's and DE's their speed won't mean a hill of beans in the end. We could have the fastest , quickest DE's in college football but if the interior line play stinks its over. For our DE's to do well the interior d-line needs to be strong.

Our interior D-line was terrible last year and Briggs and Parks still looked good.

I know what you're saying to a point, but I don't think it's as causal as you make it out to be. Maybe the ends could be even better with a stronger d-line, but it isn't like they'll be completely ineffective without monsters on the inside.

I guess our starting DE Cooper is going to play now, he was suspended for the BG game due to team rules but BB just said last night he will play, so that just leaves our FB and WR and maybe Stocco

They just announced it last night that he was going to play http://www.jsonline.com/watch/?watch=2
My sports betting site still has the game at UW-10, so I don't think that's the case
