We're hanging up huge banners on campus, and trying to help them with ideas on how to get the rest of them there. I don't know, I hope they listen to us to get people at the games. I guess everyone else doesn't have the same spirit/love for it, I mean people make fun of me for being so dedicated and going all out for it.

YOU are the best. I mean that. That is EXACTLY the type of fans we need from all different groups. I think the students turn out well...now, if more alumni would do so, we'd be on the right track.

KEEP UP THE SPIRIT AND GREAT WORK! ROCK THE FLOCK!!!

GO FALCONS!!!

I'd just let to share an encounter I had while placing up my hand-crafterd sign that me and the bf made advertising this weekend by Moseley hall. Well I guess I am just ranting because as we were putting the sign up, some kid read the sign and was like "Do you think BG is even going to score?", which A made me mad  , b/c obviously he didn't know what he was talking about, and I replied with, yeah, they scored last year. He seemed suprised and proceeded to walk away with his friends. He must have been a freshman. :x
The point of this is to show that this is why some students don't go to games, they are uninformed. It made me mad for him to diss on my Falcons like that, I wanted to punch him. I wish I knew where he lived on campus so when I got back on Saturday night I could laugh in his face.

Thanks for letting me share. :)

The best way to handle Frosh is to get them to the games early and let them decide. A lot of them have been brainwashed that they HAVE to love OSU. How do I know? I once was one.

Don't believe me? Count how many students wear OSU s*it to the Ball State game.

I have posted about this before, but I wanted to add that there seems to be a general misconception about what BGSU students are wearing these days.

While walking (halfway) across campus on Monday, I counted how many students were wearing BGSU apparel and how many were wearing apparel of other schools (colleges and universities only). Final count:

BGSU - 38
Other schools - 4 [Army (although it wasn't an academy shirt), Florida, Michigan, Texas)
OSU - 0

Granted, the above was a slightly unusual result.

Walking from Olscamp back to my car, I noticed a slightly lower ratio of BGSU to non-BGSU apparel (I didn't count this time). I did see about 5 or 6 students wearing OSU stuff and few students wearing gear from other schools, but the BGSU to non-BGSU apparel ratio was still about 3:1.

This is why I miss having my schedule background.

As being a full-fledged BG athletics supporter, Saturday has been dubbed by me the official Christmas in Summer. I'm so stoked about getting the season underway, and along with that I'll be taking my girlfriend to the game who is going to Owens but will be going to BG after that, breaking her in early to the BG scene. I'm hoping for an 8-4 season, but recognize that anything under that is totally possible. As long as the boys give it their all and play hard, I'll have no complaints.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
