You can count myself & my friends among the walkup crowd. We've yet to get a definite total on who's going with us. We've got 3 definites and 2 maybes still. I wanted to get tix ahead of time, but we'll just grab 'em at the gate.BGSU33 wrote:With bad weather possibly looming, walk-up sales might be low. Fool me once . . .
The Wisconsin ATO somehow manages to acquire the very worst seats in whatever venue the Badgers visit.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:I asked this question in another thread on the Badger board. Badgers fans have learned some harsh lessons over the years.
Bring back the Bucky Wagon, and

Certainly an interesting twist on things...I have a feeling with the poor weather that the walk-up crowd is going to be very poor, if not non-existant. If only 25,000-30,000 show up, BG will have learned their lesson and should have just used the Doyt for this game...remains to be seen how the turnout is.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
Would Wisconsin really have played a game at the Doyt? I have always assumed that a big driver for the game being in Cleveland was that Wisconsin didn't really want to play a true road game. I certainly don't know for sure, but that is the assumption that I was going under.jpfalcon09 wrote:Certainly an interesting twist on things...I have a feeling with the poor weather that the walk-up crowd is going to be very poor, if not non-existant. Unfortunately, Greg Christopher basically acknowledged this last nite at the Bratenahl function... they're hoping for a big walkup crowd, but the weather reports early on aren't encouraging...While the GAME itself looks like it'll be relatively dry, the tailgating looks like it'll be a bit on the damp side right now.

You guys had prime seats for this one: One whole side of the stadium. You could have bought seats right on the 50 through your school, I believe.BigAppleBucky wrote:The Wisconsin ATO somehow manages to acquire the very worst seats in whatever venue the Badgers visit.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:I asked this question in another thread on the Badger board. Using an impressive word like "whereas", then f'ing up the plural of "alumnus". Hmmm...UW is more of a household name than BGSU. They attract a whole state whereas BGSU's fan base consists more of hometown fans and alumnus.
But yeah, Schad... I'd think they should get 5K walk-up.

Don't forget the 3,000 that Wisconsin has sold. If the Wisconsin fans are correct in saying that they will have a decent number of walk up sales, it seems that 30,000 will be no problem.Schadenfreude wrote:If they've sold 25,000 seats (per the BG News), that's good. I would think they'd get a walk up of 5,000-plus. Don't y'all?

I'm assuming that if BGSU is saying 25,000 or 26,000, that includes the 3,000 from Wisconsin. But your point is sound. Perhaps Wisconsin fans will walk up in decent numbers.BGSUfalcons wrote:Don't forget the 3,000 that Wisconsin has sold.
