Announcers said 30,000+ and predicted BG would make their 15,000avg this year. One 30,000 game goes a long way to tht end. Did not look like 30,000 butts in seats though.

Because that's what matters. Seriously?

I thought that the announcer said something like 30,300. That seems about right considering CBS holds over 73,000.

30,307 was the official attendance. Not too shabby!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

30,000 and change isnt to bad considering that the walk up ticket sales werent all too great with the crummy weather today leading up to the game.

What happened to Wisconsin bringing a big crowd? I really wouldn't mind playing a game annually in Cleveland. It's a nice stadium, but I would have liked it more with some more Falcon fans in attendance!

I was really encouraged by the students in the Dawg Pound. There was a good environment there, and good attendance. Lets hope that continues the rest of the season.

What about the non-students in the Dawg Pound??

I think the crowd was all right. It didn't seem like 30K in the seats, though, but I'll take the number. I think a stadium that size swallows up a crowd so easy, but most of the lower bowl was filled quite well (and with a lot of orange!)

It looked like over 30,000 on TV. My guess was 32,000.

I'd say that it was in fact the stadium eating up the crowd then. The big, empty upper deck and a few empty sections down low (opposite end zone and some corners of the Wisky side) made the crowd feel smallish. I'm glad it came across looking good on TV.

Since this seems like a semi-appropriate thread, I was again impressed by the older Wisky fans. Kind words to say even after a tough loss (and even tougher hangover this morning!). They all had good things to say about Barnes, too. "Your QB is a good one!" "Uh, yeah, he's not our QB, technically."

Some of the younger Wisky fans were still kind of smarmy and idiotic, though. One guy after the game was laughing and saying something about Omar Jacobs. WTF?

Well, I'm not sure that it looked "good" (although the Dawg Pound did). It looked OK.

I was there. The BG crowd came to have a good time. I had a blast, even though we lost. I am hating draft beer right now. I am a Browns season ticket holder, and to me it looked like a solid 30,000. I thing if we brought a big school to CBS to play every year, the crowd would get bigger and bigger. Events and programs need momentum. Word would spread and more and more people would turn out for a good time.

The crowd was way better than I was hoping for. The student support was phenominal! From the field marching I thought the place looked great with all our arange and brown fans!

We were in section 130 and had about 6 or 8 Wisconsin student/idiots screaming "Omar Jacobs" over and over. They kept yelling all kinds of crap through the first 3 quarters. At one point, we had a player down injured on the field and they broke into a chorus of "Shoot him like a horse!!" ....at which point BGFan turned around and yelled, "You guys REALLY ARE assholes, aren't you?" They kind of shut up after that. The security guys also came over and made them sit down. Wasn't too long after that that they all left. They were the ONLY Wisconsin fans who were idiots, the rest of them were fine.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
