Exactly. The MAC gets plenty of players that can play in any BCS league...just not as many as the BCS gets. The BCS always has an advantage with depth but with the 85 schollie limit, that is starting to close.

Look at the scores from this weekend...
UW 35, BG 14
OSU 35, NIU 12
NW 21, MU 3
Penn State 34, Akron 16
Iowa State 45, UT 43
Indiana 39, WMU 20
BC 31, CMU 24
Minny 44, KSU 0.

With the exception of the Kent game, most of these scores are respectable. There aren't a bunch of 56-0 or 49-3 scores.

It would have been great to see some MAC wins over the BCS boys this weekend but it didn't happen. That BCS needs to go...it is slowly trying to kill the non BCS conferences.
With the notable exception of KSU - no one got annihilated. A lot of teams will lose by 20 to Ohio State and Penn State. Miami and WMU disappointed. At least Toledo didn't get KILLED like against Kansas a couple of years ago.
Inventor of the Clusterf**k and Shoot offense.

How do you explain it? There was no contest between the bands. The FMB was heads and shoulders above yours. I was disappointed in the Wisky band.
I love the BG band but I have to agree that the WISKY had a louder, more crisp sound. Especially when WISKY would make a big play, the band just seemed to rock with heavy percussion! I love that!! It gets you pumped!!
Our band did a real nice half time show but during the game it seemed like (especially during the 1st half) they were not into the game at all. It did get a little better the 2nd half...Just my opinion....
Falcon Hockey...Re-building the tradition!

It seems quite simple. The FMB uses a combination of the Iowa precision marching techniques as well as more modern "corps style" techniques. The FMB's musical precision, above average marching, and fantastic sound thanks in part to some great arranging make for a more precise, musical, and overall entertaining group.
If I was a UW alumnus (I have a colleague with an MM from UW-Madison in trumpet performance who made this statement before I even saw the band perform yesterday), I would demand more from whomever is in charge of the University's marching band. Given the large number of great musicians in the music school in Madison, the quality of the band should be much higher.
