Remember Strouse, its easier to ask for forgiveness, than permission. Maggots getting pulled into "the office" for tuba cheers is at least an annual event. Keep it that way.

Rehearsal is one thing, a performance is completely different. You carry your music during rehearsal so you can memorize it with the sets on the field. However, because you should be doing that, you shouldn't need the music during performances. That's all I was getting at.
Who carries music during rehearsal? Not the fliccs because we're vastly superior to the rest ;-) .

No commentary on the sentiment for fear of board outrage  but props for using the "vastly superior" phrase!

Did you watch the snare drums??? They looked ridiculous.
a few of the trumpet players and I were talking about how they looked like gorillas...it was pretty amusing. our drumline might not high-step like the rest of us...but they sure as hell don't look like gorillas...rock out falcon drumline!

Hemmingway...forced to be drunk? That seems odd seeing as how he was an alcoholic. And if he's right, then we're just giving you an excuse to drink...nothing wrong with that.

That you're dumb and from time to time need to be gently reminded. I could have been mean.
