#1 vs #2 regular season
Anyone heard any of the talking heads talk about #1 and #2 teams in the country playing? How many times has it happened? I wonder how many times it has been an OOC game...This OSU - UT game shoud be fun...
Inventor of the Clusterf**k and Shoot offense.
5 or 6 times. SportsCenter went back and reviewed some including FSU/Miami (Wide Right) and ND/UM.
I'm saying OSU by 2 TDs. But in my heart I hope UT destroys them.

You seem to think that Ginn is a GOOD fast receiver. I just think he is a fast receiver. Unless the new guy is way slower than their normal starter, I don't think it will matter that much. It may mean a difference of 10 points. My heart says Texas will be able to overcome that. I have told my head not to talk until after the game.
Well you and many others have seemed to bank OSU's season on the same notion. Little to no playing time that is. 2 returning starters on defense. Sure OSU reloads but you kid yourself to think Texas does not also.tekekini wrote:you still think Texas wins despite the fact that there is a cornerback with absolutley no playing time experience covering Teddy Ginn Jr?
Ok I guess we will see.
He is one player. If Teddy Ginn was out would you be picking Texas?
the thing is that Texas defense was not that great to begin with. its about the same D they had last year who gave up 22 points to OSU with Zwick at QB most of the time and the offense was not clicking yet.
would I pick Texas if Ginn was out? no! why? because they are extremely deep and extremely talented at WR and between hall, gonzalez, small they can more than make up for it.
for the kid who said "you must think ginn is a GOOD fast WR"
what I say to you is watch on Saturday. watch a replay of the first game and watch a replay of the fiesta bowl last year. he is catching on, he is stronger, he had a whole offseason knowing he was number 1, he worked hard on his routes and he ran them perfectly against NIU.
he understands now how to come back to the ball instead of wating on it, and he is not getting in a rush and looking to run. He is going to show saturday why the hype is there.
OSU's D may have some inexperience and Texas losing just one corner may not be a big deal to you when i defend OSU for losing 9 starters but the difference is that OSU's players all have atleast 1 game in the bag. They know the speed of the game.
thiskid who now has to cover ginn or gonzo is going in with 0 experience, has no idea of the speed of the game and therefore he will struggle.

See I feel the same way about Texas. They are deep and very talented. They can overcome the loss of one player. I don't make predictions based on one player, save a great QB.tekekini wrote: would I pick Texas if Ginn was out? no! why? because they are extremely deep and extremely talented at WR and between hall, gonzalez, small they can more than make up for it.

I had intentions of comming on here and ripping on you, but since you acknowledged and ate your crow I will not.kdog27 wrote:I'll eat my crow now rather than later. The Buckeyes impressed me. No way in hell did I think they would hold UT to just one TD. After that turnover in the first quarter they dominated. I expected OSU to get their yards but I thought Texas would too.
Now, you are starting to see what I have been talking about!
They didnt just beat Texas, they dominated Texas.
You also witnessed the defense start to get just a bit better after the 1st quarter. They need to make some more tackles, they missed a few but they were in position to make the plays all game. Making the tackles can be fixed.
