Well, you guys can count me as one of those that already subscribes to the podcast. You can make them any length and I will still listen. The more BG info/talk made available, the better.

Doesn't iTunes inform you as to how many subscribers you have?

Nope, no iTunes stats. I can get stats from the server to see how many times the MP3 has been downloaded... and where the referrer came from... so if it's phobos.apple.com or whatever, I can assume it was from iTunes, but that's it.

I think what you came up with was very cool.

It is awesome to hear Maureen's take on things. Rather than feel the need to get super exotic, I wouldn't hesitate to go back to her -- or, say, Todd Walker -- in search of a guest. It will always be newsy, hearing from these guys.

I must confess, though that I turned it off before Maureen was done. The background noise was a little much for me to tolerate after a while.

Great job. I'll definitely listen to the next one.

You know, if you're doing this on a Sunday afternoon I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find an empty meeting room up on the 3rd or 4th floor of the Union to use. Those are pretty much soundproof, too.

But yeah, the sound got more comical than anything. It was pretty quiet most of the time while we set up and ate, then the record light went on and "cue the coffee grinders!!!"

I think we learned our lesson about coffee shops for this. The Union worked pretty well, but it did pick up alot of ambient noise, and there were all these, uh, "distractions" walking by. And on Labor Day, EVERYTHING was locked.

Thanks for the kind words, though. We're just getting started!!!
