Ohio rolls through NIU in Dekalb!, & other MAC games

Post by BGSU33 »

WOW! This is a huge win for OU in the MAC race as it was arguably OU's toughest game in the MAC. Also, WMU takes out Toledo, another eye-opening win. Akron beating NC State on the road was a nice OOC win. I know the Wolfpack is down this year, but it's still a nice win on the road against an ACC team. Miami drops a heartbreaker to Purdue in OT, Ball State drops a heartbreaker to Indiana by a point and Kent State falls in OT to Army. All tough losses. CMU and EMU both fell to Michigan and Michigan State, respectively.

As for the BG/UB game, I'll take a win any way we can get one and that includes today. But man, I've never felt so, is exhausted the word I'm looking for???, about a win like this one. It's a weird feeling when you win but feel like you lost. The only thing I can say is, after the horrible special teams play that would have burried us against almost any other team in the country, our guys found a way to pull out a win in the end and they deserve a lot of credit for that. But if we don't improve in a lot of areas, and soon, it's going to be a long season.
GO BG!!!

O-H-I-O!!! Ou yeah baby, I can't wait for September 30th. You saw what we did to Northern on the road, just wait until we get back to conference play at home.

Alright I gotta admit it, that was a very impressive win turned in by the Bobcats today. I didn't expect Northern Illinois to lose two games all season, much less in the first two games. Aside from wondering what their problem is, I was quite impressed with OU's QB, Everett I think his name is. He played really well, and OU's pass defense played large today as well.

That being said, don't be thinking September 30th will be a walk in the park for you guys. Us Falcons, I think we can agree after today, play much better on the road than we do at home, plus we've had your number for a bunch of years now. It should be a heck of a contest though, one that might have huge implications in the MAC East race, which might end up being a 4-team contest after all, maybe even 5 if Buffalo keeps this up.

It was a great game for us, we had it on TV and to be honest, we were a little surprised too because we didn't move the ball that well last week. Today, we blew up and threw the ball all over the field. The scary thing was, NIU couldn't stop us, we just went right through them. Wolfe got his yards and had a big game, but we pretty much controlled in down the stretch. With passing the ball like we today, we played like BG in the recent years with all the yardage in passing, and BG is now playing more like OU in recent years running so much. I'm not saying it's going to be a walk in the park, but it is going to be easier for us now. We are in the drivers seat now. Our toughest game is out of the way, we've got BG and Akron at home, we're in good shape.
