Will anyone be at FIU?

Post by NY-BG-FAN »

How many Falcon fans will be in Miami for the game?, I hope it's at least triple digits. Is there much of an alumni presence in South Florida? Anyway I'll see anyone who makes the trip down there, should be fun.

Good enough for me, the official count is up to three. And that also rhymes.

Just to help out some of you because I know hotels can be expensive. When I go to Miami to visit my son I stay about 20 minutes south of the school on the turnpike. I stay at the EconoLodge in Florida City. It is not the swankiest place, but it is clean and affordable. For one person it is $55 a night. They even have a continental breakfast. There are fridges and microwaves in the rooms. There is a Wal-Mart and a Golden Corral right next door (along with some other stores). I hope this helps some of you out. If I am able to get to Miami this weekend that's where I will be.

I love the bourbon street chicken at Golden Corral.
I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.

I'm sure there will be triple digits...Players families (especially the few from FL) will travel, and for the ones down in Florida, they know it will be the only time they can see thier son/brother/cousin/friend so they will make it. I'm not saying there will be a lot of people there, but not as small as you would probably think.

Its so exciting to know that we have a decent following in Florida. The times that I have gone down to the Ocala area to spend time with my grandparents people have recognized my BG shirt/hat/other parafanelia that I deck out it. I would hope that I made an impression on some enough to get them to actually go see a BG game down there!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

Well we will be bringing a bunch to this one. That doesn't count the bunch of relative of FIU players that will be there from Brevard county. A good friend of Sean's from his High School team last year is on the FIU roster, and I am SURE that his family will be well represented at their first home game.

We were planning on going a few weeks ago to the FIU/BG game, but now we can't make it. But in our discussions about the FIU trip, we talked about making a week long trip out West in a couple years when BG plays back-to-back weekends at Wyoming and Boise State. Nothing like starting and ending a trip with BG football and some traveling around in between. I hope we can swing it.

Count 4 more as wife, in-laws, and myself head down Wed. When we went to the South Flordia game, looked like we had over 1,000. Looking for a BG Win.

This is definitely true as we are calling it Boise Part II! Driving all the way :supz:

Might even take my trumpet and play some Ay-Zig in the stands!
