You also left out, giving up a 55 yard punt return, a blocked XP, the one in OT that you mentioned was just missed, and a shanked punt for 15yards. Barnes was in at QB quite a bit and only threw it 3 times. 90% of his plays were QB keepers.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

I've seen high school teams who can perform much better on ST than we ever will be able to. It all comes down to accountability, and the fact is that no one on the BG coaching staff right now wants to take any of it. They can look at the film all they want, but until either someone gets canned, or make the needed personnel moves, expect the same ol' same ol'.
Excellent post. Why it seems that nobody wants to step up to correct this mess is beyond me. Coaches, please....Fix this mess now. I like Flipper's solutions. You mess up on ST, you don't see the field...period. ST are just as important as O and D>
Special teams are more inmprotant than O and D. Every football coach I ever had said that. Its a game of field position. If you lose the special teams battle, you 'usually' lose the game. We're just lucky that Buffalo is totally inferior.
Yeah right girl!

Who is the special teams coach? Do we even have one? Know that GB is ultimately responsible, but what about assistant coaches? What is the experience of these coaches? With GB only making $150K, finding a decent special teams coach may be difficult with low pay. Hope things improve.

I think part of the problem is that Special Teams is not the only thing D.J. does (he's also the LBs coach). Maybe we need someone to only focus on ST.

Plus, Coach Durkin was given ST's responsibilties for the first time this season.

I am sorry I ranted so much about this for a couple days. I guess I was so upset with the lack of excution that I really lashed out.

But we do need to improve drastically.
