its a peice of paper from a school that no employer cares about.

nobody says "wow! you got a degree from BG?"

They do say that about one at OSU.

they do not give ohio football fans a bad name. you can say that about any fans from any school in any state.

I had bad experiences at WVU, NIU, UM, UW, UT, Northwestern, etc.. from asshole fans. Thats because you happened to run into or hear about the few bad apples.

thats the problem, you only see what the bad ones did. When you go to an OSU game there are about 105,500 that go to the game and probably atleast 50,000 or so who dont even have tickets and just tailgate. of those 155,000 people 17 start fires and its national news. 17 out of 155,000 people plus who knows how many thousand who justlive in the area.

your follwing off what you see on TV and not paying attention to the numbers. It happens when you are constantly in the spot light. OSU doesnt ask for those things to happen and neither do the fans. Just a couple of ass holes starting the trouble.

what damage are they doing to the educational system in Ohio? Last time i checked the educational system is controlled by the state board of Regents? A state governemnt agency. If anything OSU is improving it by making tighter admission policies, the numerous amounts of research that goes on and the increasing graduation rates of all students.

How does BG help the education system more than that?

OSU has blocked the other state university's time and time again from growing and getting an increased budget. They have such a stranglehold on the State House that they can't jack up tuition over the state limit and face no punishment for doing so. Meanwhile, schools like BG, Akron, Toledo play by the rules and get the shaft.

I'm done with this discussion. You're ok with OSU and I'm cool with BG.

If you go into education, a degree from bg can mean alot when compared to another school.

During my interview for the job I currently hold, my boss commented that BG had a very good MIS specialty program. I was very proud of my degree when he said that.

Not sure why you guys still even acknowledge this guy.

once again how is that OSU's fault? That would still fall on the board of Regents. OSU has no official control over what they do.

get over it

he said that because your job is probably in BG or he is tied to BG in some way, I would almost bet on it. Nobody else would care.

The person that interviewed me is the president of our parent company. He lives and works in Wisconsin.

I have my doubts that the president of a multi state company interviews employees from Bowling green.

They have a plane that flies down once a week. He's usually on it. He is the president of the board of directors and also the director of IT.

It's ok to be wrong from time to time. I bet you thought Daunte Culpepper would solve all the Dolphins' problems too huh? Whoops.

its early and he has looked good. any other week going 10 or 11 for 18 with 250 yards in the third quarter would have you in a lead. nobody ever said he was going to make them perfect. In fact only one team has ever been perfect.

you cant win a superbowl after week 1. No one said they were going to the Superbowl in Culpeppers first year. The goal is playoffs this year. Being only the second week and looking good on offense (they did move the ball well against the best D in the league) it is still a great possibility.

Nope, we also don't make contacts and interact with highly recognized (read Nobel prize) scientists from Yale, Cornell and Rockefellar. s**t I need to go get a second BS, my Neuroscience degree from BG wouldn't help me get a job at any of these places. Never been recognized at international meetings because of the people I worked with at BG. Oops, my degree has actually gotten me places and acknowledgement.

Don't kid yourself. You have shown that you are less than intelligient. I mean you did need smaller classes (they had to have been easier too) than OSU to get your degree. You didn't get a job outside the state of OH either.
