Would you like to see Tekekini banned?

Post by Schadenfreude »

Grant probably won't be impressed by this poll, but I guess I'd rather apologize later than ask for permission in advance.

All I know is that I had enough of Tekekini a long, long time ago.

With him now running down the value of a Bowling Green degree, I no longer have any earthly idea why he even bothers with an account here or what he thinks he's contributing.

Tekekini's body of work here at AZZ.com remembles a Catholic kid who crashes a bar mitzvah, then politely and incessantly pesters all the guests for a ham sandwich.

It isn't exactly felonious conduct -- and, yet, would any of us really side with the Catholic kid?

I'm genuinely interested at this point whether Tekekini has any defenders left. Is there more than a handful of people here who would miss him?

If nothing else, we will learn that.

I obviously voted yes. But if he actually had respect for the school or brought useful information to the forums it would be a different story. The one thing I like about this forum is that many different views are displayed on here without people being banned or having messages deleted.

Even Toledo fans show a lot more respect on this board. Most seem to get it. Sure there might be a few that pop up around game day but that's to be expected. They may not like our school but atleast the have respect not to trash it on these boards. When they do, they keep it on their board. Bikini is just a troll that gets his jollies trying piss people off.

I voted "no". He'll just come back as another name and start the same BS all over again.

Just ignore him and he'll go away.

He said awhile ago that he doesn't even go to the OSU board (even though he's a fan) because everyone agrees. He 'gets off' on getting people riled up. Everytime someone counters him, his palms grow just a little hairier.

I admit that I sometime fall for his baiting but I often pull back.

I do have another idea I'm going to run by Grant tonight which may grease the skids in cases such as these. :-D

I've effectively banned him from my consciousness by ignoring him.

If no one replies to any of his posts, no matter how offensive one finds them, he'll eventually just go away.

Keep in mind, he's probably been that misfit kid all his life -- Steelers fan in Cleveland, Browns fan in Pittsburgh, Red Sox fan in NY -- a little out of step and not quite sure why no one ever invited him to their birthday party even though in his mind, he's certain he's the life-of-the-party.

He deserves pity more than derision.

And Tekekini, if you are reading this, modern medicine has come up with some wonderous drugs than can help all sorts of personality disorders.

This is not MACBBS. Grow up. If you can't effectively ignore his posts or constructively counter his points and arguments maybe you should take the hike instead

I voted no. I have been around these parts for a long time (the boards) and I remember when Tekini was both pro OSU and pro BGSU. He is not a bad person, he is just sensitive to his Buckeye loyalties and myself included, people around here aren't afraid to slam OSU at any opportunity and often goad (is that how you spell that word?) Tek into responses.

I think people need to lay off of him a bit and let Tek be Tek. He seems to have a good football knowledge and I won't hold the BG smells rant against him because he was being pushed up against the wall so to speak by everyone ganging up on him.

I would just suggest to him to come on here and talk BG stuff and not go overboard with the OSU stuff- you aren't going to win over any BG people to the dark side, I mean the Buckeye side and you will do nothing but annoy people more.

I would suggest to the others to lay off of him a bit and let some stuff slide. Talk constructively with him, leave the personal stuff out of it, and leave the aesthetic stuff out of it and talk sports.

On a scale of 1-10 where would you rate him?

10=Hitler/Saddam/BTK Killer

5=Workmate who takes your ideas as their own and uses them for career advancement

1=Guy who always conveniently leaves before the tab comes at the bar/eatery

Considering PGY and I just got back from the bar, I have my opinion as to which one is worst.

Considering you make twice as much as me, yet didn't pick up the whole tab, I'm thinking your rating is about a 2 as well.
