Great game by BG and a great win! I said BG 33-24, and I'll certainly take a 33-28 win! Much improved punting, now lets work on the kick coverage and kickoffs!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

Bad news: we gave up 314 yards and 28 points to FIU, we also only had 92 yards rushing on 44 attempts (2.1 average).
These numbers don't look right at all. No way we had 350 yards passing and Barnes probably had about 90 yards by himself.

Before the game, I had said 35-20. Take away the kickoff return and that's pretty much right. The ST's were the difference in us not winning decisively, but that doesn't really matter in the end as it still counts as a W.

Ohio State has it listed as a 3:30 start, with ESPN-plus covering it.

the BG site says ABC, ESPN, or ESPN regional(+)...it could be ESPN+ but it's not guaranteed yet until ABC and ESPN both officially pass up on it on Sep 25th. if we are 3-1 at the time, decent chance on getting ABC or ESPN (like I said, I don't know what games we would be competeing for TV with)...if we are 2-2 with a loss to Kent State, then odds will be ESPN+

i agree 24, i think that slowly but surely the special teams is coming around i think, ya we gave up a kick return but hey there were no punts blocked and that has to be encouraging for coach and rojas. i think overall the team played well for a raod game and i think this will goive us some confidence going into a HUGE game against Kent.

If we can beat Kent and go to 3-1 (2-0) then if we could bury the bobkittens, we will most likely end up taking the east crown seeing as how akron and miami alreayd have lost in conference. We would be in control of our own destiny. But lets just get it done and and if we can win the East this year with all of the youth, we could be looking at a BG dynasty in the making for the next few years in teh MAC

The official site has BG listed with 161 yards on the ground to FIU's 187 (80 on one play). Passing, BG had 242 yards to FIU's 145. Total yards: BG 403, FIU 332 (again, 80 on one play).

I liked the way we opened the game passing and would like to see that more.

Kent concerns me with their win yesterday. Miami looks horrible but Kent is improving. We must take it to them and not let up. We showed improvement last night but still have a ways to go.

BEAT KENT!!!

I wasn't able to listen to the game, I had computer problems. What happened at the beginning of the game that caused us to have something like -75 yards russing by Turner?

The first stats on the website were a mess. They had Tony Hunter catching a pass (I doubt if he left BG), and they had Freddie Barnes returning punts. Their rushing and passing numbers were also way off. Public education in Florida?

Todd Walker made mention on the radio that they didn't have stat monitors in the booth. Perhaps FIU was using a stone tablet to keep stats.
(Also they press box was completely isolated from the field. Todd and the WBGU kid had no idea what was being said by referrees, or anything over the PA for that matter. Bush.)

The 69 yard sack/82 yard first down combo was likely just a matter of someone getting the sides of the field mixed up. They put "sacked to BG15" instead of "1 yard rush to FIU 15" (which was more likely the case), there's 69 yards right there, then the next pass was from the FIU15 to the FIU3, a 12 yard pass for first down.

Just someone brain cramping at the computer.

Looking at the official version on the University site, they were napping for a lot more than just those two plays. :? But the two big ones in question are explained above.
