FMB, you're amazing

Post by FliccGirl »

Great job!!! You all added a ton of energy to the (very very long and frustrating) game today, even when you must have been dead on your feet. And halftime gave me chills, for sure!

And now, pictures for you! (They might be a little heavy on picture of fliccs, but...... well, ya know.)

Dead on our feet...man you must be trying to be nice about it... :P
I feel beyond dead on my feet, but you know what...I still wouldn't trade it for anything in the world...well, almost anything. Thanks for the compliments though by the way, it's always nice to hear comments about our shows, even if it is from a FMB alum. 8)

I really wish we could have stayed for half time! But by the time the second 'evacuation came' my daughter had already fallen in a mud puddle and we bought a 'cheerleading' outifit for her to wear since it was dry... well, we had to get home. it was too much for her! but what we did hear/see of the band, I was so impressed! good job! See you guys/gals in two weeks!

Great job FMB!! I loved the show! I got major chills during the company front! Kudos for keeping the spirit and energy going. You guys sounded great all game long and I know your chops had to be shot. Two weekends in a row you guys have been in marathon mode...you're amazing. Monring practice, the non-fieldhouse show (which I enjoyed immensely), then a 5.5 hour game....whew! I look forward to the Family Weekend Show (and enjoy your weekend off!).

Wahhh.... Ask anyone who marched prior to the 2001 season, and they'll tell you that that's how it was for the entire season. '01 was when they put up the lights at the Doyt, so most every game kicked off around 1, except for the occasional games that they brought in portable lights.

Trust me, I liked the early games anyway. Maggot breakfast at 4am, morning practice at 7, 8 in the morning, etc. It was actually pretty cool. To top it off, when the game was over, you had time to go home, rest up, and go to parties w/o being completely tired. Ahh... I'm old.

I'm with Carlson. I loved those couple of early games we had last season! You got everything out of the way early, and then you could go have a Saturday night!

I look forward to hearing/seeing the next show! I<3 the FMB!

I always loved Anthony Wayne's cadence. I wonder if they still do it?

they're prolly pretty similar to the ones we used to do at Paulding. Mrs. Graham/Rader/Lentz...whatever her name is now used to be the head band director at Paulding High School when I was in Elem/Jr. High and went to Anthony Wayne when i was in 8th grade. I bet they play Barbara Ann and do the head chop too...ahh the good ole days. I can't wait to see them...I get the feeling it's gonna be like a replay of high school band before VG and the new guy took over.

Anthony Wayne's former band director was the husband of my kindergarten teacher. I don't know about now, but they used to be really good.

I guess so. His name was David Mowery....I think he might have quit in 1998 because he was thinking that he would get hired at my home district for the band director position. He didn't get the job, but it did go to a BG alum!
