I voted yes. I voted yes because I have seen a different type of OSU fan since being down here. Tek, in my situation, doesn't represent most OSU fans that I know. Most of the OSU fans have respect for BG, and haven't said one bad thing about them. They are very passionate about OSU, and I admire that. There is a big alumni following down here in Houston, and they all get together and watch each game at the sports bar, set up speakers and play the fight song, alma mater, and hang on sloopy quite often before and during the game. I have actually grown to like OSU, only because of the fans I have had the fortune to meet down here. The first time I met them was the last BG/OSU game, and they were nice from the very beginning.

Tek on the other hand, I have a different view of. I don't give him the pleasure of posting a reply to anything that he says, I let the rest of you do that. But he really has become obnoxious. To call BG smelly, gay, and whatever else he used in trying to justify cutting off all ties to the place that he chose to get a degree, really makes me steam. Everyone else on here loves BG, and I know that I can't wait until the next time I get to come back to the place that I will always call home. That's fine if he doesn't feel the same way, it's his opinion, but to come on here and say those things is just ignorant. Defending OSU is one thing. I agree that there are sometimes over the top things that are posted, and I don't really care for those comments either. But to say that he is going to start a fire with his degree from BG, that's crossing a line. I have become a semi OSU supporter because of the passionate fans that I have met while down here, but they are nothing like Tek. He takes it way over the line, and it's time for him to go. I know he does things to get rises out of people, and he's good at it. A lot of you are going to say that I'm wrong, and that's fine. I just prefer to have people on here who might not like some of the things that are going on in BG, but they disagree with those things because they love BG, not disown it.

Houston, you said exactly what I've been trying to put into words. There are plenty of OSU fans that are wonderful people and know BG and might occasionally put them down, but that's only in the spirit of competition with the fact that they know I attend BG. All in all, most fans of any school, even most Big 10 schools, are wonderful people and they show the respect to other schools, even MAC schools, because of the simple fact that they want to represent their own school in a good way. Tek doesn't do that. I know I'm guilty of being lured into his traps, and I apologize to all of you for that as well.

I did have respect, and still do, although little, for Bg (well the football team anyways) I talk bad about them all the time on here because things work two ways.

You people piss and moan and cry to your mommies about BG not getting any respect and your biggest reason for hating OSU fans is that they do not respect MAC schools. But then you trash OSU any chance you get and give them no respect.

There is a term for that can you tell me what it is?

Also tell me why is BG deserving of respect from OSU fans? they are fans of OSU and the big ten not BG and the MAC. They do not have to give a damn about BG if they do not wish to do so. they dont have to disrespect it but they dont have to respect it either...most of them just dont pay attention and do not care too. I have tried for a very long time to operate under the assumption that tek is an intelligent, rational human being. His statements in this thread have completely blown that myth out of the water. I don't believe he is in graduate school, either. I believe that he is probably some sad individual, living in his mother's basement, who touches himself far more than it is healthy to. I was all set to vote no because banning doesn't do a whole lot, but if you are going to threaten, cajole and try to intimidate, you need a break. I was a moderator of the MAC board before MACBBS. I would have asked you to stop (not just you, mind you) and you would have kept going, and I would have banned you temporarily.

You need to step back and look at what you are doing. I don't care if you are 'right' in your mind....go ahead an keep being right, just do it somewhere else.

I could care less if OSU "respected" us or not. Honestly it's just a case of me not valuing their opinion at all. The issue is the stigma which OSU has over people in Ohio. Most people don't realize that by doing "OH-IO" they're paying homage to OU, not OSU.
