Homecoming....

Post by Rightupinthere »

Has anyone received their information yet? It seems to be coming later and later every year.

Is this some sort of joke meaning that my memory is getting bad?

What was I saying again? Oh yes, has anyone received their inromation yet? It seems to be coming later and later every year.

I haven't. And I have my parents on standby for when it arrives at the house there.

But I have no idea when it normally arrives, as this is my first year as an Arrogant Card Carrying Alum. :P

Ruit, is there any chance of you giving a mace twirling clinic that weekend? I'd really like to learn more about it than what I can read on the internet.

Sure, but don't expect to use MY mace.

Delaine's is busted up [CURSED ARTIFICIAL TURF OF THE LION ORGANIZATION!]. Use her's.

I'll either try to come by a mace on this short notice or I'll just watch VERY carefully! If delaine's is all busted up and she doesn't mind that could be useful also. I've been meaning to try and contact you for a while about learning a little something from the two of you. Can't wait, see you then.

you want to use MY busted mace??? *gasp*

Well sure. I mean if you're using it and it breaks free of the duct tape, then you can pay the $120 for a new mace from Peacock! ;)

I'll take the white American Mace, chrome finish, with the chains. Thanks!

as for our information being sent out... I guess there was a board meeting last Sunday. My source said that she hopes something will be sent out now. She didn't sound too sure that it would, though...

Oh, and I saw Mr. Kelly at the BGHS football game last night. It was good to see him!

It really pisses me off that I haven't recieved ANYTHING for Homecoming. There are some Alumni who actually don't possess the computer skills to look up on the internet the date and time of Homecoming. Some Alumni even fly in from New Jersey and might need more than 3 weeks notice. This lack of organizational skills has to come from the top. I think we are going to see our Alumni numbers continue to fall.

In my 10 years, gulp, as an Alumni I have only missed 1 Homecoming game. This because my job as a band director would have been in jeopardy had I not shown up for a Saturday football game. I have worn my Alumni orange windbreak(both lined and unlined) proudly. Even though the collar has whipped my face and our seats sucked last year. I come back each year hoping to see my friends who marched ankle-knee style and illegaly gambled in Las Vegas and each year I am more disappointed not to see my friends.

OK my time in the cynical back row is over......for now. I will continue to wait for my MOUTHPIECE to arrive so I can shell out $12 for a game I should get in for free and $5 for a fiber rich DiBenedetto sub.

I talked to Jeff Rader at the game today. Something will be going out this week.

In all seriousness though, you know it's homecoming, you know there's alumni band...

But if I don't have a schedule to go by, how can I make my travel arrangements?

Not that I'm going. Won't make it this year. Just making a point.
