These people were players that played while they were in BG. But left due to the coach. Whether they were good enough is not in question, I am trying to show that there may not have been any trasnfers from our school, instead people just quit. To me that is worse.
No it is not worse. Again.... this is about life, not hockey. There are approximately 75 students that start the undergraduate architecture program at Miami. About 15- 20 end up graduating from the program. Why the big drop? Lots of reasons, lack of talent, unwilling to put in the hours to learn the craft, lack of mental strength to handle the pressure and competitive nature of the program.
If a player quits his sport, it means he lacks the talent and the ablities to play at that particular level, the self-disipline it takes to develop into a better player, lack of mental strength to overcome adversity...... you know the drill. If they transfer, then its a issue. But in reality, transfers are typically problem children. The point being is simple......Many are called, Few are chosen.
Concerning your post on another thread about the seniors not being able to give a speech at the banquet. It's not the time or place to air your dirty laundry and if the coaches sensed it, good for them. Be a man and confront the coach directly.
The whole aspect of respect for the coach is laughable. You need to read his bio again..... he has the credentials, you don't. The lack of respect, if it exists, is a problem for the player, not the coach to resolve. If you don't respect someone, don't work or play for them. It is that simple.
However, if a coach, even a BG coach, does not meet the expectations of his direct reports, then he will be gone....... and selling shoes. If what you feel is true about Coach Paluch, he won't be around in a few years.
