What is happening to our men's teams at BG?
What is happening to our men's teams at BG?
Football, basketball, hockey, soccer, baseball....we've been pretty good in recent (or somewhat recent) years in most of them, but now it seems we're pretty much struggling to compete in all of them. What about cross country, or golf, give us something. Thankfully some of our women's teams are doing well.
GO BG!!!

We swept you in men's hoops, we swept you in baseball, we'll beat you in football on Saturday and we don't have varsity hockey and soccer. Though by the looks of it, our club teams would probably sweep those games too.BGSU33 wrote:Football, basketball, hockey, soccer, baseball....we've been pretty good in recent (or somewhat recent) years in most of them, but now it seems we're pretty much struggling to compete in all of them. With no offense meant to anyone, why is this thread started by so many people, all of whom believe that they are making some sort of elemental discovery? I just don't get it.

It's no discovery that your men's teams are bad, everyone already knows it. And we'll be reminded of it again on Saturday yet again.Bleeding Orange wrote:With no offense meant to anyone, why is this thread started by so many people, all of whom believe that they are making some sort of elemental discovery? Funny thing is in all those men's sports, BG leads the all time series in all of them...except maybe baseball.OhioBobcat wrote:We swept you in men's hoops, we swept you in baseball, we'll beat you in football on Saturday and we don't have varsity hockey and soccer. I remember when OU tried to have hockey as a varsity sport. That didn't work too well. BG beat OU in hockey every time but one...17-0-1.
Your jealousy of BGSU's sports tradition is comical and very evident. Your last MAC title in football was when? 1968? How about the last time your baseball team played in the NCAA's? Do you have any national titles like the 1984 NCAA Title won by our hockey program? I thought so. STFU.

Well played and well said FF. It is a shame that it appears our men's sports are on the downhill slope, but once we hit bottom, the only way to go is up. After the Kent State game, I'm hoping that our boys roll through Ohio like there's no tomorrow to gain some momentum before heading into the Shoe.Falconfreak90 wrote: Funny thing is in all those men's sports, BG leads the all time series in all of them...except maybe baseball.
