you forget one thing...we play better on the road than at home lately

Ohio is a good team this year, a lot better than the past...well 100 years.
OU has broken 200 yards of total offense one time this season.

They're on a high horse right now cause they beat NIU, and we got trashed by Kent. If I were them I would fully expect to dominate us this weekend also. However, I would also consider the inconsistency factor that comes with teams of the younger variety (btw, I am not using being young as an excuse for our play so far).

1st half - In front of a nice crowd, OU leads BG 14 - 7.

Halftime - OU president announces that he is marrying his cousin.

2nd half - In front of an all BG crowd, because all OU fans have left after watching the band, BG comes back to win 20 - 17.

So where are the game prediction threads that normally appear here every week with all those inflationary numbers???
I don't remember anyone picking Kent to score more than 38 points last week?

I say that the road winning streak continues, and that the Falcons, particularly the defense, come out firing big time. The Ohio offense is massively overrated because of that one game against NIU, and I think we will make that obvious Saturday.

However, my prediction comes down to one thing and one thing only, whether Anthony Turner plays.

If Turner plays:

BG 31
Ohio 17

If Turner doesn't play:

Ohio 24
BG 7

I talked to Kenneth Brantley today and he said the team is focused for this game. Brandon wants the team to focus, so they won't be watching any videos on the bus. I think the guys want revenge...I know I do, so I can only imagine that the revengeful attitude is even stronger with the team. I'd love to see us completely destroy OU, but I think it will be a Falcon victory of close proportions. So I'm saying...
BGSU- 27 (with two field goals by Ellis)
OU- 21

That's Kenneth Brantley, the II to you sir...

I'd hope the team is focused. If they lose (hopefully not), there's no way Brandon will bring out the team not focused script during the post game press conference. It will be about the youth and inexperience. Let's see:

Falcons win (Brandon post game script):

- "team was focused"
- "our young guys really grew up after last week's game"
- "our team captains rallied the team"

Falcons lose:

- "we have a lot to learn about winning a road MAC game"
- "can't keep giving the ball away"
- "one or two plays that made the difference"

Good point on Turner. The facts are:

Turner plays, we're 2-0

Turner doesn't play, we're 0-2

This is one game I can't put a prediction on. It could go either way. Like Doyt Perry used to say, "We'll either kick tail, get our tails kicked or it will be close".

I have a feeling last week's game sent shock waves thru the team and they'll respond in a big way. Why? They have to. Pride.

But since this is a prediction thread...

BGSU 24, OU 16.

No videos? I'd make 'em watch the Kent St. game (or at least significant chunks of it) over and over again for the whole ride. Then play it in the locker room before the game.

If that doesn't get a team good and pissed and ready to go, I don't know much that will.
