Nice Defense today.....

Post by Falconboy »

It wasn't spectacular , it was after all OU's offense but we appeared be alot better today. I like to see how we do on our next Mac game. The OSU game will be over by half so I'm not counting that. But it was nice to see that we got our heads out of our butts and played some decent D today.

How many sacks?
How many INTs?
How many forced fumbles?
I'd say it was pretty damn close to spectacular. We got the big plays when we needed them most.

Must you inject that defeatist attitude into every post?

Well, for not being able to see the game , thats my humble opinion on we played. You may have watched the web feed and thought different , okay thats fine. But I'd like to see that kind of D vs CMU, UT ,EMU, and Miami....and whoever else is on the schedule.

Defense played with some heart today. I watched the game on the Internet. We got plenty of pressure on their QB with a four-man rush. Parks and Biggs played well, but I thought Thomas Jones and Jacob Hardwick...two redshirt freshman also played very well. Defensive backs are going to be lights out in a couple of years if they stay together.

But Ohio looked horrible, especially on offense. How in the hell did they beat NIU? Turner looked very slow and tenative running the ball. Hope its because of the shoulder? Offensive coordinator still not turning him lose with the offense. We'll need more vertical pass plays if we are going to beat some of the better teams coming up on the schedule. Still too much passing sideways and designed QB runs for my taste. Let Turner run the spread. It gives us the best chance to win. We'll need to score to win the upcoming games.

Watched Kent/Akron game. Flashes are for real

Lol, Flip. The offense certainly didn't win the game--when you look at the numbers, we didn't get much production running (given 44 carries), and especially not passing. The offensive game plan and execution was good enough, and the defense brought home the bacon.

Good job by the D and ST's today. Anytime you hold a team to single digits its a good team effort, and usually equals a win!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!
