My only request for the OSU game....

Post by Columbus_Zak »

Don't run a draw everytime Superstar Freddie Barnes lines up at QB. I think after watching some game tape the OSU defensive coordinator might sniff it out.

Don't cheer for OSU if you go to BG.

Well, if you're giving me one wish, then I'm gonna wish for a BG win! [-o<

He said request, so I think that's why the expectations were low. Now, if we're talking wishes, things will get interesting ... and when hammb jumps in, it will probably get rated R.

I just don't want to see anyone get killed, especially Freddie Barnes. If, everytime he lines up in the shotgun, it's draw left, draw right, he's going to get killed. Be creative, when they put 10 in the box, because they know what's coming next, lets put the ball in the air.

My only request is that our coaches and players give everything they have to try to win this game. I hope the players play hard and the coaches go all out. We can't win this game playing smash-mouth football. We need big plays like fake punts, fake FG's, onside kicks, reverses, option passes, etc. Some may say playing football like that is cheap, but I think we will need to pull out all the stops to hang in this game for longer than the first quarter.

I agree BGGrad01...whatever it takes to give us the best chance to hang around.

I'm going to have to agree with the previous two posters. I want to see our players and coaching staff do everything they can to make a game of it. I've seen too many people in the past few days saying we shouldn't even play our starters or we should just hope nobody gets killed, and it's starting to irk me.

Don't get me wrong, I realize it's about a million-to-one shot at taking the Buckeyes out at home, especially considering the way we've played this year, but I'd like to at least see us make a game of it.

Besides, as the delusional orange-glasses-wearing s.o.b. that I am, I've been dreaming this game since the OU game ended. I'll give you a guess as to which team I see winning, and if you get it wrong, you just don't know me very well.

As long as you're showing support for BG, I don't see anything wrong with that. Personally, when it comes to my former favorites playing BG, I'm on BG's side 100%, but I understand that people have very strong allegiances to teams, sometimes for very personal reasons. I see nothing wrong with that.

My request is that we snap that ball with :01 second left on the play clock everytime the clock is running. We have a real chance to win this game if we use the new rules to our advantage and keep the total # of plays at an all time record low. Why not try this? I mean how often do you get a crack at a #1 team? Also as someone posted earlier don't be afraid to go for it on 4th down. Anything to increase our Time of Posession and keep the ball away from OSU!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!
