Congrats, Diyral! Also, Chris Bullocke was a nominee for Offensive POY!

I'm not sure who it was that de-cleated the OU qb, he gets my defensive vote.

Antonio Smith had the "lead with your helmet, knock Everson down when he was 2 feet out of bounds, I thought I was watching Marshall on D" hit.

He'd have been fined and/or suspended for that if it was on a Sunday.

From the away fans end it was impossible to see if he was out of bounds or not. Sounded like a clean hit at least.

Todd Walker questioned it on the broadcast as well. He said it looked like Everson let up while he was still in bounds.

The hit was either dirty, or Smith was clueless as to where he was. I was not pleased.

Everson had let up after running out of bounds, and Smith came at him from an outside angle, standing a foot out of bounds himself.

BG players then celebrated the illegal play.

Didn't see the hit in question, but if I was the coach Antonio Smith would not play a down for my defense.

Until he proves that he knows how to properly tackle somebody I have no use for him. He's a headhunter who's out to make the sportscenter highlights when he should be trying to stop the ball carrier. It seems to be 50/50 whether those two interests coincide in his case.

Smith's hit was as dirty a hit as I have seen in a while. Online we had the benefit of multiple angles and about 5 replays as well as Ohio U. announcers whom I thought were actually going to call the police and have Antonio charged with assault.

Everson had already been chased out of bounds by a LB and the angle that Smith hit him from made me wonder if he was actually in the play at all or if he was on the sidelines and came up and popped him. He went helmet first and angled it so the crown of his head went up under the midpoint of Everson's face- not quite completely under the facemask, but darn close.

For a good moment or two I actually feared that bolded part, seriously, because of that angle he took to get to him and thoughts of a brawl and big time suspensions came through my mind.

Give OU credit they had a couple times where they could have retaliated by blindsiding Smith back or *gasp* our own Freddie Barnes, but they did not.

Then the refs got it completely wrong by not kicking him out. As I say from the away fans area it sounded like a clean hit.

If I were an official, I would have ejected him.
