Hackers found a vulnerability in the software I use to publish the "articles" portion of ay-ziggy-zoomba.com. They used this vulnerability to upload malicious code which was, in turn, used to spam lots of people with emails about their bank account info being needed, yadda yadda yadda...
I apologize for the downtime. The offending software has been removed until I have the time to upgrade it.
Thanks for your patience and for the "watchdogs" that contacted me SECONDS after the site was disabled.

I was at work and it said site forbidden. I figured the techies and management at work finally had enough of me browsing the site all day. I'm glad that everything is fixed and that my initial guess was wrong!

Nope, it was actually MY hosting company that shut it down because of the stream of phishing emails that were streaming out of the ay-ziggy-zoomba.com server.
The people at JaguarPC.com really do a great job supporting issues like this too. They were helpful, pointed me in the right direction so that I could disable the offending script, remove it, and then quick to re-establish the account once I proved the malicious code was gone. Masood @ JaguarPC rocks!

I've had a bunch of emails returned to me from (somethingthatdoesntresembleausername)@haveyoumettony.com lately, but my host said there was nothing I could do. Fortunately, it hasn't brought anything down, but it's annoying for me and has to be annoying for those that the emails are getting through to.
Hackers suck.
But a friendly reminder to update software and backups. Thanks!

Nah. But I do think I'll help that lady whose husband was able to smuggle $11 million out of the country before it was taken over in a coup and a freeze on all money in the country was placed. Maybe I should let her know my Washington Mutual account information.
