Soccer shuts out Detroit!

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Paul Shoemaker made four saves en route to his first shut-out victory as a Falcon. Bowling Green snapped a six-match losing streak in their 3-0 win over the University of Detroit at Detroit's Titan Field.

Tonight's win also ended a 29 match winless streak on the road dating back to October of 2003. Entering the match, Bowling Green had not shut-out the Titans at home since September 25, 1997.

BG welcomes Buffalo to town Friday at 3pm for a MAC matchup.

Finally, another win. It's been awhile for these guys since the last one (the season-opener). Hopefully they can get it going in the MAC now. I know they are working on getting things turned around with the progrm, but it seems like forever ago since we were good in men's soccer. When I was in school we were ranked in the Top-25 and played in NCAA Tournament a couple times. I'd love to see BG get back to that level again.
GO BG!!!
