This thread now has the Sir Mix A Lot seal of approval.

Interestingly enough he performed on my campus my senior year and I actually got to interview him, very nice , down to earth guy.

Mix likes the big guns but also endorses the return of THE BELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the cannon and hope its stays. I liked the victory-bell too. I just think that cannon is more fun.

Like some of you stated, it would be pretty funny to load it up with something and fire it after a BG score (now don't anyone go getting any bright ideas - this is just for fun and I refuse to be held accountable!). We could pack the barrel of the cannon full of tootsie rolls or other candy and blast it all over the stadium after a BG touchdown to save the arms of all those people who bring bags full of them and thrown them around! Can you imagine how crazy all the little kids in the stadium would go with candy falling from the sky and into the stadium. With the number of TDs BG has been scoring at home, we'd all need to bring umbrellas to the game to avoid getting pelted by the tootsie roll downpours!

Or when Toledo comes to town, we could pack the cannon full of pork chops or sausage or something and fire it out of the stadium and watch Amstutz leap the fence and fight the stray animals over it! We could even assign someone with a video camera to film it so we can put it up on the videoboard and watch him go at it without missing the game! Now there's an idea.

What's the velocity of stuff coming out of a cannon? I imagine that shooting tootsie rolls could be problematic if people get hit by them. Of course, the same would hold true for a midget....

We can just shoot it up in the air and let it fall from the sky!

OK, but we're gonna need a parachute for the midget then. Otherwise, we'll run out of midgets before the OOC schedule is over
