People can root for whoever they want. You might think they're a traitor, or stupid, or assish, or whatever for doing it, but they can do whatever they want.
That's right. This is America. People have the right to be pure scum, as long as they aren't breaking the law. Take Tek for instance.

Falconfreak - next time one of those Kent/Akron grads that roots for OSU throws an insult your way, just ask them what year they graduated from OSU. After they respond with something stupid, just tell them to go F*** themselves.

By the way, I still cheer for OSU when they're not playing BGSU.

Of course you do, it just won't do any good

Like today while eating dinner at Commons, a guy who works there asked Nick how the food was, and he replied with good. Following that the kid then responded back with, good, now the only thing we need to do is get you out of that hat. Remind you he was wearing a BGSU hat. Then another girl chimed in with, I tell the football players I'm a OSU fan and they'll win, and they just put their heads down at me.
She basically smacked them in the face and told them they were worthless. At least in my opinion. Anyways, what I'm saying is is that we will see who the TRUE falcons are for who they root for.

Damn those buckeyes.
Kaleena, I consider myself to be in a similar position. There are so many OSU fans on campus, many of them in my dorm area in Harshman. It's even worse this year than last year because of OSU's #1 ranking. I think its a good thing fall break falls on this game because I'd be all over the dorms scouting out people's rooting allegiances. Remember, I got into a fight with somebody after the BG-scUM hockey game last year because of his disrespectful comment about BG being beneath Michigan.

Shouldn't that be 11-2? Or have you given up on the Falcon's chance at the National title?

I was refering to OSU going 12-1. Winning their Bowl Game and losing to BG.

Yeah, I got that but don't you want osu to get that second loss to BG in the National Championship game?

I don't think the BCS would go for a rematch... they'll pit us againt Auburn instead.

So you're saying you'll play in one of the lesser BCS games while we thump osu in the big one? :D

Unless Tyler Palko gets a vote in the BCS selection process, right?

Okay dickie...i put BGSU first, so I dont know where you're coming from. I'm just telling you that you all sound sooooooo stupid and petty when you bring this crap up. Just let people be who they are. If you live in Cleveland, your tax dollars pay for that big ass stadium, but it doesn't mean you have to be a browns fan. This has nothing to do with whose degree comes from what school.

Grow up and act like you went to a school I'm proud to call home. This crap is embarassing.

Okay....

Growing up a buckeye fan, and being surrounded by buckeye fans all your life is not an excuse to disown your school. My grandma's like Ohio State, my dad does, his brothers and sisters do, my mom's side does too. I've had cousins and aunts and uncles go there. There is a branch of OSU in my town. I live 30 minutes from the main campus. I've grown up having people make buckeyes every year, and having everything revolve around the scarlet and grey. So don't throw that as an excuse.

I will accept the fact that you like that damn school, but when you attend another school, you should, at least root for them.

Besides, it is ONE game for the entire year that you can't drop OSU for your own school? That's what pisses me off. ONE GAME.

I don't care if they say BG is suppose to lose by 1 million points, you still have to be there for them. How do you expect them to try when they can't even get their fellow "falcons" to show any support?

Let's say on Saturday that BG pulls an amazing upset...are you Buckeye-Falcons, going to be mad your lovely Buckeyes lost? Or will you bask in the glory of the amazing feeling of the Falcon win? It almost disgusts me that you would share the victory of the Falcons, when you could not even support them to get them there. The fact that some of us support our team, and yell, and scream, and do everything we can to show them we're there and pumped should be the ones who should celebrate.

I just don't think it's right for you to have the right to celebrate a Falcon victory over the Buckeyes, if you can't even root for them.

Though, I would say, that if I played football here, you Buckeye-Falcons would push me even more to win Saturday.

Sorry to get into such a rant, but this does piss me off a lot. :smt013

I think we need to channel all this energy into something productive. Kinda sad if this is bringing up such rage, honestly.

Getting ready for the game on Saturday against an in-state rival isn't productive?

Were you one of those fans who complained they couldn't see when they sat behind the student section?
