Thanks, I appreciate that.

To be honest, I do feel downright shameful that it took so long to get repainted, but as a broke-AZZ student scraping for gas money, I just didn't have the means to organize a re-painting. I really hope the team realizes that this isn't how all (or even most) of the students feel, and that they know we support them.

I was in the Dial around 10pm when the players came in for some eats, and they seemed really pissed off that a BG student would do this. I think I talked to Jahmal Brown and told me that the kids who are rooting for OSU on this campus should never, ever be allowed to go to a BGSU football game, and I had to agree with him.

There's so many kids here that are bandwagoners, but that doesn't surprise me, if we were a ranked team or undefeated coming into this game, I'd wonder if the attitude would be different on campus. It's shameful and disgraceful that our students can't even support their own fellow classmates and students.

A OSU fan here on my floor asked me if I was going to the BG hockey game last night, I said yes and I told him he can't go, and he gets all in my face about it and asks why, and I said well you root for Ohio State don't you? And of course he said yes, so I replied: Therefore, BGSU athletics must not matter to you at all, you can't have it both ways, you should root for the Ohio State hockey team as well, right? I pretty much shut him up, and I simply told him that if he or anyone ever goes to a BG athletic event wearing an Ohio State shirt, sweatshirt, etc. that they are indirectly slapping our student athletes in the face. It sickens me that you can pay $13,000 to go here a year and not give a damn about the school's athletics.

I'll be out amongst 200 OSU fans Saturday watching this game, and probably the only one in orange and brown, but I can tell you that I will be proudest one of the whole bunch no matter what the outcome of the game.

Our plan was to repaint the rock immediately after the hockey game. I'm glad I went to ckeck it before I bought paint! The first time I saw it was on my way to rehearsal and as much as I would have liked to do something about it right away, there is no missing band practice for this fella. I'm glad something was done about it, it had my blood boiling
Yeah right girl!

I'll be amongst about 100,000 of them... but don't worry... I'll have on my orange and brown.

Personally, I was extremely happy to find out that the Football team repainted the rock. To me, that says a lot about our team. I hope they wipe the floor with the buckeyes just to shut every single buckeye-lovin' son of a b*tch up here in BG. I was rather sad though, as were others that it wasn't painted before that. Walking by the education building, I heard several football players talking about a guy they saw wearing an OSU shirt with a BGSU hat, and they weren't too happy about it. Just from a few football players I heard, just mentioning the words Ohio State gets them fired up. I'll be there in full Band uniform cheering on my dear Falcons!! The rest of you should be in Ohio Stadium in your Orange and Brown cheering on the Falcons as well. If you can't make it to the game, Walk around proudly in your Orange and Brown Falcon attire all day Saturday and watch the game. This game might not mean anything to us getting to the MAC Championship game, but I can tell that it means a lot to our football players. They want to shut every single buckeye fan in BG up for not pulling for them. They are fired up and, as I said before, any mention of Ohio State just adds fuel to that fire.

It's sad that those kids don't have the pride that they should have in their school. I don't care if you grew up an OSU fan, you made a conscious decision to go to BG, and you should support your school in anything and everything it does. It makes me sick that kids will be cheering against their own school tomorrow afternoon. I think the football team has the right attitude about this game going in, it's not all about winning, as it is about playing for the pride of yourself and for your school. Some students here wonder why the students don't show up for the home football games, and you have your answer there in pride.

The problem here with our students is though that they're just bandwagoners. I hate to say it, but they're wannabes. I will always challenge those who go here and root against my beloved school. My passion for this school runs deep, and it's shameful that other students can't put aside their OSU fanboyisms for one game to just support our team. The outcome is pretty much predetermined, so why not support your school for a good showing? It's dispicable, and I for one am sick of it.

That is so true JP, I grew up a Buckeye fan, but because I didn't go there means that I won't be rooting for them tomorrow. I'm all about the Falcons and I have been since I made my decision to come here. I just wish that some students could "see the light" once in awhile.

Alright, i've read enough of this, i've tried to be a good OSU and BG fan, but you guys and your bandwagon bull sh**t forced me to post. If this is the last time i ever post on here, so be it.

I think I talked to Jahmal Brown and told me that the kids who are rooting for OSU on this campus should never, ever be allowed to go to a BGSU football game, and I had to agree with him.

Yeah that is an awesome idea! that way there will be about 2000 less kids then usual there cheering them on. Hell, tell Jahmal that if they can beat Buffalo in regulation or maybe even keep with 2 scores of Kent St. then more people may support them.

Well aren't you just a hardass. I have been an OHIO STATE football fan all my life, i've been a BG fan for 6 weeks. It dosen't mean I don't support BG football but my first priority is and always will be THE Ohio State Buckeyes. I'm sure there are plenty of people that jumped on teh Bandwagon this year but that dosen't mean every OSU fan on campus is a bandwagon fan...saying that is very ignorant and rather stupid.

It could have been me they were mad about, i wore my OSU hat and BG shirt all day yesterday, i figure they give me a half ass effort on special teams, i'll return the favor.

It's sad that those kids don't have the pride that they should have in their school. I don't care if you grew up an OSU fan, you made a conscious decision to go to BG, and you should support your school in anything and everything it does. Now this is a pretty solid argument, on ethat i can respect. It's not so much a lack of pride in their school as much as sticking to what i always have been. I consider myself a BG and OSU fan and now that the two are playing i will be generallly neutral but it's difficult to root agians the tema i've been rooting for my whole life just because BG is the school that takes all of my money.

If that is all BG is to you, then by all means, transfer to OSU.

I can't wait to hear some stories of the pre-game walk to the stadium, during and after game exit of the stadium. There should be a new thread just on this: What assholes Buckeye fans are..

Please post the good and bad stories from this weekend.

I for one am not looking forward to the trip to Columbus tommorow. In 2003 I walked down Lane Ave. with some friends from OSU and got bottles thrown at me. I'm a little more outspoken now than in 2003 so I may have a few words for them if that should happen again! :-D
