If that is all BG is to you, then by all means, transfer to OSU.
If he shows me the paperwork, I'll send him $20 to help with any application fee.
I will say this:
It was easier in my day to understand that Bowling Green had no obligation to bow and scrape to anyone. All it took was one winter to figure that out.
When I was in school, the Falcons beat the stuffing out of teams at BGSU Ice Arena. When Michigan and Michigan State came to town, those were tough games, but we expected to win, and we won our share, in front of full or nearly-full houses.
As for Notre Dame and Ohio State? They were blow outs, again and again and again. 7-2. 5-2. Falcons win. Falcons sweep. And so on. We could almost name the score any time the Buckeyes or the Irish came to town.
So, after one winter, most of the people who had ever ventured out to BGSU Ice Arena understood intuitively that we have every reason to hold our head up high, no matter who we were playing in any sport. Our football team was no good, but, still, I think there was some carry over. It helped that, at the time, only football outdrew hockey, and people still fondly remembered the '85 season and Brian McClure's chase of the Heisman and the NCAA record book.
