The question is when do they play Ohio?

Ranking?

Post by Mr. Frieda »

Not a huge follower of volleyball now that i'm off campus. Is there some kind of national rankings that we are close to being in?

Thanks.

Not receiving more than one vote. :(

Regardless, this is a heck of a run. Keep it up volleyballers!!!

OU's 21 with a record of 12-3 and we don't even get one vote for a 12 game streak and a 16-2 record?
Where's a Rodney Dangerfield image when I need one?

I agree that we should be getting some kind of love (for not being one to follow volleyball much), but you can't take much away from OU... their only three losses have come to teams that are currently ranked, and have only lost 2 games in their 12 wins. Impressive.

We get our shot on 10/27. It's actually the next home game, a Friday, and hockey is on the road at Miami(OH) that day. Keep rollin' along!

I wouldn't dream of it. As a volleyball outsider myself, I don't really know much, but from everything I've heard and seen, OU is definitely deserving of the respect they've gotten. I don't know what our strength of schedule is, but it just seems to me like we should have gotten at least one vote so far.
Either way, I'll definitely be at AA on 10/27 for the game. :D

OU's volleyball team is ranked nearly every year lately and beat Ohio State in the NCAA tournament last year....I can't remember how far they advanced, but it was pretty significant. Ohio U is the "BG women's basketball" of women's volleyball.

They play a brutal schedule before the MAC starts and deserve that ranking.
